Kourtney Kardashian Says She & Travis Barker Are ‘Officially Done’ With IVF

The third season of The Kardashians has now dropped, and it's answering a lot of lingering questions we've had about the famous family now that the premiere episode is streaming on Hulu. Unfortunately, filming the episode wasn't a chance for Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker to announce their long-awaited pregnancy, but instead a place for them to reveal they'd given up on IVF.

Kourtney broke the news in a confessional.

The mother of three shared the news that she and her new husband had decided to stop their IVF journey after several failed attempts.

"We would love a baby more than anything, but I just really believe in what God has in store for us," she explained, noting they were leaving it up to fate now. "If that's a baby, then I believe that it will happen."

She said she lost all seven eggs she had frozen in the process.

Kourtney further explained her reasoning, saying that of the seven eggs she had frozen, most of them "didn't survive" and sadly none of them "made it to an embryo."

The newlyweds had documented some of their process for fans in the second season of the reality series, so it was especially heartbreaking to find out their plan hadn't worked.

Despite being sad about the end of her journey, she took a moment to educate fans.

Kourtney shared a message about some of the confusion surrounding the fertility process, saying, "The freezing of the eggs isn't guaranteed."

"I think that that's a misunderstanding," she continued. "People do it thinking that it's like a safety net and it's not."

Kourt isn't giving up the dream of having a baby with her husband entirely though. It sounds like the two plan to keep on trying the old-fashioned way.

Kourtney and Travis already have six children between them.

The Barker-Kardashian crew is already a big one.

Kourtney has three children with her ex, Scott Disick: Mason, Penelope, and Reign.

Travis has two children with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler, Landon and Alabama, and he's also a stepfather to Shanna's daughter from a previous marriage, Atiana.

We hope Kourtney and Travis are successful.

We're sure they've had several long (and probably hard) conversations about stopping IVF before they made the decision, and it's never an easy decision to make.

Hopefully they will be able to conceive on their own at some point. We're pulling for them!
