Kim Kardashian's SKIMS brand has long been praised for keeping its wearers snatched, but apparently, it's also keeping them alive. One woman on TikTok claims that SKIMS saved her life because she was wearing the shapewear when she was shot — apparently, it kept her from bleeding out.

One woman took to TikTok to share her story.
As Angelina Wiley explained in her video, she was wearing a SKIMS bodysuit under her dress the night she was shot four times.
"It was so tight on me that it literally kept me from bleeding out," she said, adding that she felt like it was "body armor for women."
In another video, she showed the bodysuit she'd been wearing that night.
She explained that doctors left some of the bullets inside her body because it would have caused too much damage to remove them, but three months later, the one in her leg was taken out.
Kim later reposted her TikTok on her Instagram Stories, and Angelina explained SKIMS offered her a full refund on her bodysuit, along with a discount on future purchases she makes from the brand.
Angelina was wounded in a shooting that took place in Kansas City.
According to a local CBS affiliate, Angelina was one of two people injured in the early hours of New Year's Day, waiting for a Lyft to pick up her and her friends, when she was shot by a man who appeared to be in an altercation with a nearby driver.
Angelina's bladder ruptured and her pelvis cracked as a result of the shooting.

Angelina is excited that Kim took notice.
Angelina has been a fan of Kim's for a while, according to what she told People.
"It was definitely really exciting for me. I've been a fan for a while, so to know that she knows who I am is pretty mind-blowing to me," she told the magazine. "Before I got shot, I was going to school for criminal justice so that's cool that we have that in common given that she went was in law school."
It's good to hear that Angelina is recovering well.
We can't imagine how scary that shooting must have been for her, but it's great that she's still here and that she's telling her story — no matter how much what she was wearing at the time might have had to do with her survival.
This is certainly a good endorsement for SKIMS, though! You can't buy marketing like this.
