What to Know
Weeks after the former Prince Andrew lost his title and his royal residence because of his connection to Jeffrey Epstein, it doesn’t sound like he’s coping very well.
According to what a palace insider told Radar Online, Andrew’s behavior has turned disturbing in the wake of King Charles’ decision to remove him from the royal family… to the point that he’s now reportedly having full out tantrums in front of his collection of teddy bears. (Oh, and apparently he has a collection of teddy bears, so there’s that, too.)
Andrew is so lonely he’s supposedly treating his teddy bear collection as if they’re his “real” friends.
And unfortunately, the fact that he has to leave Royal Lodge, the home he shares with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, is really getting to him, too — to the point that he’s worried that the bears are going to be traumatized by the move.
“He treats the bears as if they’re real, insisting that the move from Royal Lodge will be difficult for them because, in his view, it’s their home too,” the source said. “Being forced to move seems to have triggered a full-blown meltdown. He keeps insisting the bears won’t handle the change, almost as if he’s projecting his own feelings onto them like a child would.”
Those who still work for Andrew are reportedly becoming concerned.
Radar Online reported that Andrew’s staff is becoming pretty alarmed by the bizarre behavior, as anyone would be.
“It may seem ridiculous, but he’s in a truly pitiable state,” another source said. “The bears, along with his late mother’s corgis, are the only companions he trusts. People are quietly saying he’s on the verge of completely losing it.”
It may all come back to the way he was raised by the late Queen Elizabeth.

Andrew was widely known as Queen Elizabeth’s favorite child, and it sounds like that kind of favoritism didn’t do him any favors.
“Andrew was coddled by his mother throughout his life. She indulged him completely, and as a result, he never really matured,” an insider said. “Now in his sixties, he remains remarkably immature because he was never forced to grow up — which partly explains his childish obsession with his bears.”
Now, Andrew is believed to be “completely isolated” from his social circle and has begun “spiraling.”
“As well as chatting with his bears and throwing literal tantrums in front of them about how he has lost everything that meant anything to him, he passes his time watching TV and gaming,” the source added.
