This Wedding Reception Entrance Has Nothing on the Annoyed Guests

If your biggest fear as a member of a bridal party is that someone will make fun of you as you walk down the aisle or make your reception entrance, then let me hold your hand when I tell you, that fear is very real. In a TikTok video posted by a woman named Jaime, the main focus is supposed to be the bridal party’s entrance, full of silly dancing. But the real focus for users on TikTok was a couple sitting at the same table as Jaime who appeared to be pretty miserable to be in attendance. She later deleted the video, but there are screenshots of the reactions.

It turns out, Jaime is the mother of the bride, and her other wedding videos on her account are all about the ceremony and reception. However, this particular video caused a stir among other users on TikTok thanks to the couple who inadvertently became the stars of the show. So much so that, eventually, Jaime turned off the comments.

The reception guests at the wedding were not having the bridal party entrance.

Jaime wrote in the caption of the video, “The bride and groom said ‘let’s make an entrance’ and the wedding party understood the assignment.” In the video, the bridal party comes in full of energy, and, it seems, the couple at the table in the forefront of the video look uncomfortable the entire time.

Jaime’s other videos from the reception show lots of dancing among the bridal party and guests. However, the mystery couple are nowhere to be found. Who knows, maybe they accidently entered the wrong reception area and they were waiting to make their escape. OK, probably not.

Before Jaime turned off the comments, other users added their thoughts on the couple in the TikTok.

One wrote that the couple is giving the vibes of Stu and his girlfriend from The Hangover. In the movie, his girlfriend is portrayed as a bit of a stick in the mud who prevents him from having fun at every opportunity. In other words, the couple in the TikTok look miserable.

Other people commented to say just that, and to provide screenshots of the women’s facial expressions as each member of the bridal party enters the reception. It’s a bit of a show, sure, but these days, that’s what you expect from most receptions. If the bridal party isn’t entering the hall hooting and hollering, then is it even a fun wedding?

Apparently, for the unwilling stars of Jaime’s TikTok, the idea of these women and men marching in shouting, dancing, and holding up wedding-themed signs is just too much. To be fair, the man seems pretty comfortable with the environment. But they are definitely giving “we just got in a fight and I really wish we could go argue outside, but the wedding party is finally making their entrance.” Just a hunch.
