When you’re Meghan Markle, you really can’t win with the social media crowd. One might say she should just stick to posting about jams, jellies, and cosplaying at homesteading. Because when she posted a video of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the two kids she shares with Prince Harry, she got some serious backlash on X.
Half of the people who love to be snarky when it comes to Meghan do so because they side with the British Royal Family when it comes to the family drama. The other half doesn’t have any irons in the fire, so they don’t really have any kind of loyalty to Meghan. Unfortunately for her, that means there are a whole lot of people who have a whole lot to say about her videos of her kids.
People think Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s kids are “lonely.”

In Meghan’s video, her kids search for Easter eggs on their property, decorate eggs, and celebrate Easter as kids do. But what one user noticed on X was that Meghan and Harry’s kids seem, well, lonely. There aren’t any other kir=ds, be they family or friends, in the video montage, and for some, that’s a little concerning.
“Megan’s new post for Easter again, and we get a peek at the kids’ heads,” the user wrote on X. “Archie and Lilibet almost the same height, and Lilibet’s barefoot. Nice to see them playing, but why are they always alone? A few friends would make this much happier. Kinda sad to watch.”
Someone else commented about “how sad” it is that Meghan’s daughter was walking with Meghan apparently following close behind filming her, rather than interacting with her.
“First thing I noticed was how lonely they are,” another user responded to the X post. “The saddest part was the girl walking all by herself knowing her mom was just following her filming. So creepy. The Wales children can’t relate, they have so many cousins on both sides of Prince William and Princess of Wales.”
Someone piggybacked on that with an observation of their own: “This is what happens when you isolate kids so badly that you are desperate to be relevant and record them like some weird stalker.”
Another person commented on the post to point out that it seems like Meghan’s famous friends don’t invite her places and that she seems lonely too. Someone else wrote, “Loneliest children ever…no friends their age”
Some think it’s an old video that Meghan posted.
Other people think Meghan’s Easter post is an old one, given how small her kids look. But, because Meghan doesn’t often share detailed videos or photos of her kids, it’s hard to say how much they’ve grown in recent years. But the reason some think the video could be old is that they think Meghan posted it to spite the British Royal Family for its own holiday social media posts.
“I have a feeling this might be an old video she just dumped [because] the royals’ kids were plastered all over her feed,” a user wrote.
Another user speculated that Meghan wanted to show off her property with the video rather than her family.
“Filming for social media. Look at how the camera scans over to capture the water. Audience/branding is at the forefront of their mind, not of the moment,” they wrote on X. “These children seem to be surrounded by cameras.”
Harry and Meghan’s kids don’t see Prince William’s kids.
When Harry and Meghan moved to California and stepped down from their royal duties, they also seemingly severed major ties with the Royal Family. This includes whatever relationship their children might have had with Prince William and Kate Middleton, princess of Wales. According to The Sun, William’s kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis don’t know much about Harry and Meghan’s kids.
Not only do the two families live an ocean (and then some) apart, but Harry is rumored to be on the outs with his brother, while Meghan has long been rumored to have an issue with Kate, it would make sense, then, for the cousins to have no real relationship. But all some people see are some terribly lonely kids with Harry and Megan.
