I am just a few weeks away from giving birth to my second child, a boy. We are beyond excited — our firstborn, Marco, who is now 21 months, will be a big brother. With the anticipation, of course, comes all sorts of stress. But I’m not a newbie anymore, this is not my first baby, so I know what to expect. That’s why this time around, I decided to make sure I prep my body the best way I know how: with exercises that work and nurture not only my mind, but my body as well, getting me physically and emotionally ready for what’s ahead.
And my secret weapon this time around? The Momcozy BirthEase Maternity Ball Set. I loved how easy it is to inflate and set up, right out of the box. The kit comes with everything you need including a foot pump for an effortless setup experience. And I’ll be honest, the fun pink color was a huge selling point, it looks great in any room. Plus, it has a beautiful flower-inspired texture that also makes it not just functional, but actually pretty. The texture isn’t just decoration though; it makes the ball anti-slip, while the base provides stability for wobble-free use. Plus, it kept the ball from rolling all over the place at home, a major plus, especially with a toddler roaming around (and while he did like playing with the ball, I liked to keep it safely anchored for its intended user: me!).

The yoga ball provides carefully curated exercise plans through the Momcozy App, all developed by maternal movement specialists. I loved the App and the step-by-step video guidance, progress tracking, and community support that it includes, it made it such a great resource and encouraged me to come back again and again. The classes on the App are easy to follow, the videos are great, and the information provided in the movement list is very helpful, including things like common mistakes and tips to get the most out of every move. While I’m a bit more experienced, the guidance is geared to moms-to-be of all levels.

I did a few of the exercises, following along with the app, and they were so useful. They eased all those third trimester aches and pains, while encouraging me to make time for myself and focus on my body, something we all forget, especially nearing the end of pregnancy and even more still when we have little ones to take care of, like in my case. With the purchase of the Maternity Ball, I was able to unlock the Cozy Mom Lifestyle Guide e‑magazine, which was a perfect addition and where I found tons of inspiration for wellness, nutrition, and style.

The goal of the Momcozy BirthEase Maternity Ball is to ease pregnancy discomfort, prep for labor, and aid in postpartum recovery. During this pregnancy, I suffered intense sciatica pain and lower back pain. While I don’t tend to swell, this particular pregnancy was tough on my body overall and as I near the end, I feel like my feet are starting to swell a bit. For the sciatica and lower back pain, some of the exercises have been gamechangers. There are workouts specifically designed for third trimester pain relief, full-body stretching, and help with that pesky swelling. The workouts are easy to follow and are incredibly effective.
As I prep for birth, the Momcozy BirthEase Maternity Ball Set has been invaluable. My baby has been in the breech position for the last few months, and with partial placenta previa, it seemed like I was going to have to give up on my plan of a natural birth. I started doing a ball bouncing exercise and one called “baby engagement preparation” and, wouldn’t you know it, the baby started turning and getting into the correct position! As of now, baby is head-down and I’m ready for what’s coming soon.

After birth, I’m looking forward to using the Momcozy BirthEase Ball to help with my postpartum recovery. The point isn’t to “bounce back,” but to ease back into a normal routine and a gradual return to my pre-pregnancy self. I’ll be using the Ball to help me with rebuilding my pelvic floor and regaining strength in my core muscles. One day at a time!
I wish I would have discovered the ball earlier on in pregnancy! It would have been great to have it pre-pregnancy to prep and during the early days of pregnancy, but glad I have gotten to use it and unlock its powers just in time for the most uncomfortable trimester: the third.

I have had a few other yoga balls in the past, but I trust my pregnancy and unborn baby to the Momcozy BirthEase Maternity Ball because of several key features designed not only for safety, but for its sustainable, responsible construction. The ball itself is made from premium BPA-free and anti-slip textured PVC, but even more important: it’s designed with anti-burst technology that makes it deflate slowly in case of a puncture, instead of a scary, unsafe burst and fall that would put me and the baby at risk.
