Meghan Markle’s Switzerland Trip Overshadowed By a Makeup Controversy Her Critics Won’t Let Go

Meghan Markle‘s makeup routine is the latest thing going viral on X and not for the reasons she’d probably want because the chatter seems to be overshadowing the whole reason she was in Switzerland in the first place. A new social media post is making the rounds among critics of the Duchess of Sussex, and it’s sparked a fresh round of debate about her public image.

After Meghan made a trip to Switzerland, which some people are also a little unclear about, people began to poke fun at her makeup. Some saw her foundation color, or bronzer, as not a great shade for her. Others pointed out some poor blending skills. Overall, this is another moment she isn’t going to live down.

People speculated on Meghan Markle firing her makeup artist.

Meghan flew to Switzerland for a World Health Organization and Archewell Philanthropies event for the digital safety of children. But some of those who just cannot stand Meghan shared their disdain at her appearance of all things. In the post on X, the user who made it shared a photo of Meghan from the side where her makeup seems to stop near her ear and show a distinct difference in skin tone.

“She needs to take a class on the proper way to apply bronzer,” they wrote. “That’s hideous looking.

Another user questioned whether or not she fired her makeup artist. Or, they theorized, he might have quit.

Someone also mentioned him by name and wrote, “Blame Daniel who is a Terrible makeup artist! His work should be keeping up with current makeup trends and HER AGE. He obviously doesn’t realize he makes her look a DECADE older by his technique!”

People questioned why she visited Switzerland.

According to Hello! Meghan traveled to Switzerland to speak about cyber bullying and its impact on children. She spoke about calling on parents to set examples with social media usage and to do their part in getting laws put into place to protect children from the dangers of social media as a whole.

“Because children today are being shaped by systems designed to capture attention at any cost: relentless algorithms, exploitative engagement, and endless exposure to harmful content that they are not seeking out,” she said. Meghan also questioned, “When will children be able to enjoy the extraordinary potential of technology without it compromising their wellbeing?”

But for those who aren’t aware of why she made the trip to the country and why she spoke at the World Health Organization event, they were quick to question Meghan’s motives and decisions in an X post.

One user wrote, “Meghan Markle flew to Uvalde to get her picture taken at the memorial for slain students. Now she’s flying to Switzerland to have her picture taken at a memorial she created for kids killed by internet apps. The grief grifter is in the building & it’ll all be on her Instagram app.”

However, another person responded to that X post with, “No, she is the ONLY royal or politician who supported them families who lost their children then and now. Just ask the families. Stop spreading lies. It’s disgusting, especially in this situation.”

Others made fun of a lack of crowds there to greet her.

Despite Meghan’s legitimate reason for speaking at the event, other critics made fun of a lack of crowds in attendance wherever Meghan went when she was filmed and photographed during her visit to the country. That certainly takes away from the impact of why she was in Switzerland, but Meghan’s critics aren’t always willing to let her forget what they think of her. Well, who are we kidding, they never let her forget it.
