What to Know
Weeks after Josh Duggar‘s emails from prison were released to the public, something may have changed with his health. This week, critics carefully following his case discovered that Josh has been moved to a federal medical facility as he continues to serve out more than a decade behind bars, and people definitely have their theories about what might be going on with him. Has he finally reached his breaking point?
Josh was moved to FMC Fort Worth.

Josh has spent most of his prison sentence serving time in a facility in Seagoville, Texas, and on May 29, he was transferred to Federal Medical Center Fort Worth, as multiple outlets including TMZ reported this week.
“The Bureau of Prisons does not provide us with advance notice of prisoner transfers for security reasons. My office is investigating to verify Josh’s well being,” Josh’s lawyer, Beau Brindley, said in a statement to the outlet.
Ironically, this also happens to be where Tiger King star Joe Exotic is serving time, so… the potential for the weirdest reality TV crossover ever is definitely there.
Critics think that Josh probably isn’t in the best headspace right now.

Of course, things haven’t been going Josh’s way for years, but they are really not going his way right now. Along with the fact that his personal (and very embarrassing) emails from the beginning of his jail stay recently became public, on Tuesday, the news broke that a federal judge has yet again denied his latest attempt at breaking out early. According to People, judge Timothy L. Brooks determined that Josh’s motion to vacate was “not credible.”
This is all leading people to believe that Josh may have had a breakdown, as some people theorized in a post on Reddit.
“He just had his last chance appeal rejected. That might have been too much for him to deal with — he seems to have maintained delusional confidence that surely he would be able to get out of this somehow and the stark reality that he absolutely can not may have finally hit him,” one person wrote.
Another added, “Plus all his emails leaking and everyone making fun of him. That can’t be like a good thing for one’s mental health. He totally could have lost his marbles.”
There’s also a rumor that he was transferred because of “severe disciplinary issues.”

On Tuesday, blogger Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball reported that an “extremely reliable” prison insider said Josh’s behavior has become so “disruptive” that he’s been held separately from other inmates for a long time now, and has lost all of his privileges.
“Josh allegedly was caught no less than 4-5 times with cell phones & was apparently hiding the phones in Bibles,” Katie Joy wrote. “Staff at the facility could not figure out how he was smuggling in the phones.”
She continued, “Because Seagoville is low security they are not equipped to handle an inmate like Josh. Josh became a danger and threat to the facility’s security — allegedly — and he’s now at FMC Fort Worth. This facility is a hold over facility & my source believes that Josh may be eventually transferred to Colorado to a medium security facility.”
So far, there’s no confirmation of exactly what is going on with Josh, but it sounds like he’s having a real bad time.
