What to Know
Joseph Duggar’s future is still unclear as he awaits trial following accusations that he molested a then 9-year-old girl, but his wife Kendra Duggar is already making moves. Kendra is selling an Arkansas home that is owned by the couple and was previously inhabited by Kendra’s parents and siblings, the Caldwells — well, until Kendra and Joe supposedly kicked them out, that is.
Kendra has listed the home for $407,900.
The past few months have been quite a whirlwind for Kendra and Joseph. Not only was Joseph arrested and charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior involving a young girl back in March, but days later, Kendra was arrested as well after an investigation into the couple’s home led to both of them being hit with separate child endangerment charges.
Now, People is reporting that Kendra has listed one of the homes that she and Joseph own for sale. With an asking price of $407,900, the home features three bedrooms and two bathrooms and sits on 1.14 acres of land.
The Caldwells were living there until recently.
Before Joseph and Kendra’s arrests, her parents and siblings were living in the home, but Joseph kicked them out and reportedly even cut off the power and the water to the house before they’d moved out.
This is also the same property that Joseph asked the court if he could visit in order to perform maintenance tasks on it. Since it was the victim’s former home, he had to get permission to set foot on the property, or he would have risked violating the no contact order that is currently in place as a condition of his release before his trial.
Maybe he was planning to do maintenance there to get it ready to sell all along.
She probably really needs the money right now.

This is probably a really expensive time in Kendra and Joseph’s lives. Not only is Joe not going to be able to continue to support her and their four children if he ends up going to the big house indefinitely, but they both have to cough up lawyer fees as they fight their separate charges in court, which definitely isn’t going to be cheap.
As People pointed out, selling the home was something that the two spoke about over the phone in March when Joseph was still in jail. They tried to decide if it would be better financially for them to sell it or to rent it out, and now, it sounds like they finally came to a decision.
We’ll see how quickly the home sells, though. For a house that Joseph claimed needed repairs, it’s seems to be listed at a bit of a steep price for the area. And are people really interested in buying from a Duggar right now?
