While many of her younger sisters have gotten married and started families of their own at this point, Jana is definitely doing her own thing in her own world. She's not old by any stretch of the imagination, but as we all know, by Duggar standards, it's definitely unusual that she's still single. But that said, Jana doesn't seem to mind. Not one bit. In fact, more than any of the other Duggar girls, Jana seems to be focusing on things outside of marriage and having children. Maybe those things will happen for her one day, maybe they won't. From where we're sitting, it seems like Jana will be fine either way.
From focusing on business ventures to admitting that she just hasn't found the right guy yet, here are the reasons we love Jana Duggar. If anyone ever snatches her up, they're lucky. And if not, well, that's her business, now isn't it?
She Has Fans Who Aren't Really into the Duggars
The Duggars definitely aren't everyone's cup of tea, but for fairly obviously reasons, many people seem to have a soft spot for Jana. Being able to reach an audience outside of "typical Duggar fans" is no easy feat. Just ask the rest of the clan.
She's Super Helpful to Her Older Siblings
Despite being the oldest and having a life of her own, Jana Duggar is always willing to help out her siblings who have kids. In fact, she seems to have an especially soft spot for twin John David's daughter, Gracie, with his wife, Abbie. They seem so close!
She's an INSANELY Good Big Sis to Her Younger Siblings
Not too many people in their thirties are totally cool with babysitting and helping a zillion little kids all the time. Clearly, patience is a virtue — and Jana seems to have plenty of it, based on the way we see her interact with her youngest siblings.
She Never Seems the Slightest Bit Resentful ... About Anything
She's been called the Cinderella Duggar and people are constantly wondering when she's going to get married. But Jana doesn't care. She just keeps on smiling and doing her thing, which only makes us respect her more … though we do have to wonder how she manages to ignore all the drama.

While some people may think Jana is sitting at home, waiting for Mr. Right to come along, that's not the case at all. Instead, she seems to be traveling, working on DIY projects, hanging out with her friends and her sisters who have flown the nest already … this gal is busy!

It's been reported numerous times that the real reason Jana is single is because, plain and simple, she's picky.
"I’m not just out to get married to the first one that comes along," she said on one episode of Counting On. "I mean, sometimes it can be tempting. Especially in those moments where your siblings, who are married and have little ones, are going out on dates and doing their things.”
She's Been Rumored to Date Around
Even though dating around is a Duggar no-no, Jana has been linked to a few people here and there over the years — most recently family friend Stephen Wissmann. We can't blame her if she wants to spend time with different men before settling on the one (after all, that's how most people outside of the Duggar fam do it).
She's a Good Role Model to Her Siblings
While it definitely may be annoying to never have alone time, another way of looking at it is this: The fact that Jana's siblings always want to be around her means that they must really adore her. When she does finally move out of the house, they're going to miss her so much!
She Seems Content With All the Love She Has in Her Life
There might always be some level of speculation about Jana's love life until she's married. But from where we're sitting, it seems like Jana is just happy with all the love she has in her life — whether it's from friends, family members, or potential boyfriends.
She Knows What She Wants & She Won't Settle
As Jana candidly told Radar Online in 2016, "There have been different guys who have come along and asked [to court me], but they haven't been, I don't know, the right one."

She Values Friendship
Even though she's close with her family (especially sisters Jill, Jessa, and Jinger), Jana has friends outside of the Duggars, too. She seems to be inseparable from BFF Laura DeMasie, and since they've been close for years, it seems like Jana is probably a pretty good friend.
She's a #BossLady
Jana does so much more than cook, clean, and mind little kids — she's also a career-minded woman! She's also dipped her toes in real estate, making a few purchases of her own, and she's been rumored to start her own business, Arbor Acres, sometime this year.
She's Musically Inclined
While the Duggars once got into hot water for calling Jana a "concert pianist," the eldest Duggar girl does know how to play a tune! She definitely gets props for that, and who knows? If she has kids of her own someday, maybe she'll pass that talent on.
She Takes Everything With a Grain of Salt
Given how much she's talked and speculated about, Jana still seems to have a good head on her shoulders and doesn't let the gossip get to her. Not an easy task for anyone, especially someone whose moves are constantly scrutinized. But Jana simply doesn't let it bother her!
She's Wearing Pants Now
Much like some of her sisters, Jana has decided to go against her family's rules and start wearing pants — and of course, she looks good. It's good to see her making her own choices about her wardrobe, even though she does still live under Jim Bob and Michelle's roof.
Her DIY Talents
Jana loves Fixer Upper, and it's easy to see why — she's basically the next Joanna Gaines. She sometimes shares her projects on Instagram, and it's enough to have us convinced that she deserves a home makeover show on HGTV herself. This lady is handy!
Her Garden
We will forever be impressed by Jana's garden! Ever since she first showed it off on Counting On, it's been clear that anyone who doesn't quite have a green thumb would believe she's doing magic here. No wonder it's one of her favorite places to hang out!
