Some celebrities have talents so big it's hard to understand how one person could be so gifted. It would be impossible to discuss celebrities with ridiculous talent without bringing up Alicia Keys. This mama of two has 15 Grammy awards, is one of the world's biggest and best singer-songwriters, and she's a good person at heart, too.
The hard-working mama recently purchased a home, and just like her talent, the space is breathtaking. The property is said to have been designed to mimic the home in Marvel Comics where Iron Man lived. It's reported that Alicia paid an impressive $20.5 million, but got quite the deal on it, given the home's original asking price.
Turns out, Alicia's hubby Swizz Beats had been eyeing the home for a long time, telling Architectural Digest, "I had the house on my phone as a screensaver for eight years — it is like my screensaver came to life. And taking one look at the home, it's clear Swizz and Alicia have really good taste.

The Famous Razor House Now Belongs to Alicia
According to Mansion Global, in Sept. 2019, Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz purchased the Razor House in La Jolla, California. Reports indicate she paid $20.5 million for the home, originally listed for $45 million before being reduced to $30 million.
A House Made for Music Royalty
This home has an impressive 10,240 square feet of living space. It includes two master suites, two other bedrooms, six bathrooms, two showers/steam rooms, a built-in barbecue, and a roof-top spa. There's also a detached multilevel guest house.
The Fireplace
It's so clear to see that every detail of this home was well thought out. This fireplace is beautiful and not like regular fireplaces, and neither is anything else in this room. Ignoring the view, which is like a painting, everything from the fireplace's surround to the cozy carpet and the chairs looks expensive.
Sitting Room
When we think about a room that we would design, we'd make it an ideal space for unwinding at the end of a long week. We'd put our feet up and grab a book. This room looks like the perfect space to relax. Every detail is thought of. Pure luxury!
The Inside of the Home
Suppose we were to see this photo outside the context of knowing that we're on a home tour for Alicia Keys' new spot. In that case, we'd like to think it's a photo of a museum or a super famous stadium. The architect of this home thought about every angle it will be viewed from, and a typical hardwood and eggshell paint job is not enough for this space.
The Living Room Is Amazing
Normally, when we look into living rooms, we love to see lots of light entering the space, which makes it feel larger and more alive — and with those ceiling-to-floor windows, this room is full of light. Nearly every wall surrounding the living room is made of glass. Awful for needing to clear off fingerprints, but oh, all the light that enters the space!
The Master Bedroom
We can't ignore one of the major selling points of this home, which is, of course, the view. The architect was smart to make many of the walls in this home glass because it would be a shame to not see it from every angle. The room is massive as well, and for the days where they want to sleep in, there's a giant curtain to hide the amazing view for a little bit.
Outside Looking In
Has there ever been a more beautiful house? This photo, taken from the yard, sees mostly everything inside due to the incredible glass walls. Little is left hidden inside, and from anywhere in the home, daylight fills every space. Here we can see the beautiful couch in the living room. How amazing is it that the outside fireplace can be viewed while sitting on that couch?!
A Beautiful Staircase
Remember how we said every detail was considered when making this home? We meant it — and the staircase is proof. Who would have thought stairs could look so elegant? Even in the evening, this space lights up perfectly.
The Other View
There isn't a bad view from anywhere in this yard. Here we can see what looks like the master bedroom and the view of the water from there as well. Honestly, the yard looks like a really expensive Love Island set.
The Pool & Yard View
The home has been designed to have as much light in it as possible, and that's why it gets an absolutely beautiful view from any room. The center of the home is hollowed out so the whole home can be lit up by daylight and the moonlight.
The Roof Lounge
While there may not be a whole lot of yard space because it's such a massive house, the rooftop lounge sure makes up for it. With a view overlooking the beautiful water, we're sure the scene from up there is beyond compare. The roof area seems to have plenty of space to hang out, too. And it looks as if it's designed perfectly to work as a balcony — bigger than one many have ever seen.
Outside Seating
Although this space is largely open, there are separate areas for dining, lounging, sitting in the grass, and hanging by the pool. There is a spectacular view of the water from this angle as well. We're sure Alicia, Swizz, and their children will make so many sweet memories here.
The Pool is Unique, Too
Because nothing in this house is cookie-cutter, it makes sense that they also have a custom pool. The shape is amazing and the infinity walls make it look like it's all blending into the ocean. Absolutely stunning.
The View From Here
Alicia deserves everything amazing she receives in life. She's so talented and isn't afraid to speak for causes that mean a lot to her and others. She seems authentically herself, and the view from here sure does make it look like she's on top of the world, which is right where she should be.
