Throw a bunch of a attractive single folks in a gorgeous, luxury home, and there's bound to be tons of drama that keeps television viewers coming back for more every single week. Originally a UK-based reality show, Love Island debuted in the United States in 2019, and almost instantly became one of those shows that's just so cheesy and wrong, it's hard not to watch. It doesn't hurt that the premise specifically involves matchmaking incredibly good looking, young singles — so even if the show is kind of meh, it's still got the eye candy to fall back on.
But the eye candy doesn't end with the contestants who spend the season vying for one another's hearts (and a cash prize), the temporary abode itself is something worth looking at. During the first season, the contestants stayed at a luxury villa in Fiji. Due to some new normal requirements, though, the second season's sexy contestants have been put up in a massive Las Vegas villa where they must live together while they navigate their new, budding and failing relationships. The brand-new villa may just be even cooler and more interesting than the first season's accommodations.
Season two premiered at the end of August, but viewers got their first peek into the villa during a promo that aired just before the show's two-hour premiere on CBS, and it is a total jaw-dropper. Keep scrolling to see more pictures from inside the Love Island season two villa.
No Island Love
Due to the global health issue, Love Island isn't actually happening on an island this year. Instead, the contestants will be living in a quarantine bubble in a suite atop the Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas that the show's producers have had transformed into a stunning "villa," they are dubbing "Casa Amor."
Right on the Strip
The 25,000-square-foot 2020 Love Island villa is right on the Las Vegas Strip, in the middle of all the action. The property is owned by Caesars Entertainment, and has 188 rooms. It's small by Vegas standards, and is considered the area's first standalone boutique hotel.
Temporarily Closed
Interestingly, the hotel that houses the villa has been temporarily closed for months. The hotel, restaurants, and casino haven't been operational due to the health issue, so the show is being filmed while the rest of the property is vacant. Since the contestants are being kept in a safety "bubble," they wouldn't have been able to experience it anyway.
On to the Villa
The villa is essentially the hotel's penthouse, and it's been totally revamped for the show. While it has a less upscale look than is typically seen at the Cromwell, it's very Vegas. The kitschy decor is exactly what we would expect to see on a steamy reality show that takes place in a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip — bright, bold and playful.
Hang Out Spot
The villa's main indoor living area is spacious and overlooks the Strip. It has floor-to-ceiling windows set behind massive, curvy, hot pink couches — perfect for lounging around and chatting and chilling as a group. There are also lots of cozy pillows and pretty green plants that make it feel a little more homey.
Open Concept
As is common in hotel suites, the villa's main living areas are open concept. The sherbet-hued kitchen flows directly into the living room. It has a modern-vintage vibe that we absolutely love, plenty of storage space, and everything the contestants could need to whip up a tasty snack any time of day.
Breakfast Nook ... or Bar?
The kitchen also doubles as a dining area. It features a long, narrow breakfast bar that we can totally imagine the contestants using for happy hour more often than they use it for breakfast. Still, it's cute, especially with the multicolored, vintage-inspired bar stools.
Shared Bedroom
The show's contestants share a tropical-themed bedroom that features five beds (yes, five) couples share beds right from the beginning. This room has plenty of natural light. There's also a small pullout bed for anyone not keen an bed-sharing with a total stranger, four wide, full-length mirrors, and some fun art features — including a neon sign.
Private 'Hideaway'
If any of the Love Island couples decide they could use a bit of privacy, they can head to "the hideaway" to escape the communal bedroom. It's a smaller bedroom with just one queen-size bed, dim lights, and romantic touches (think old-school love hotel). The neon cherries, and sign over the headboard reading "jackpot" really get straight to the point.
Pool Deck
The Love Island villa's giant rooftop pool deck and patio seems to nearly double the contestants' living space. Plus, it's just kind of dreamy. It's set up with giant palm trees strung with twinkle lights, huge planters brimming with green plants, and there's actually an entire wall of greenery. There's also plenty of comfy outdoor seating, and a giant Love Island sign designed to look like the famous Las Vegas sign.
Massive Pool
Using show host Arielle Vandenberg for scale, it looks like the villa's pool is quite large. It's sunken down from the main patio area, and surrounded by giant pots filled with flowering plants. There's even faux grass surrounding the pool, giving the entire area more of an island vibe.
Secret Jacuzzi
Set behind a row of curved hedges on the pool deck, there's a "secret Jacuzzi." It's a round hot tub that looks to have an unusual infinity edge. We anticipate lots of romantic rendezvous and deep conversations happening in this secluded spot, but it sure looks nice just for a long soak and a bit of relaxation.
Lounge Area
In the large lounge area that overlooks the pool, there's a huge curved couch that appears to be uplit and features a row of potted plants behind it. There's also a really cool propane-lit firepit constructed from a round concrete bowl filled with glittering blue stones that create a neat illusion.
Ladies' Dressing Room
There are two dressing rooms in the villa: one for the ladies, and another for the gents. The women's dressing room is right off the pool deck and is decorated with the palest pink walls, tropics-inspired art, and more neon. It features a light blue area rug, and a long vanity lined with large makeup mirrors — as well as more full-length mirrors — so the women will have plenty of space to make sure they look picture-perfect.
Men's Dressing Room
While the men's dressing room doesn't have a vanity, it's still pretty sweet. It's decorated in pale blue and yellow, and features the same full-length mirrors, a comfy couch, a large sink, and a mirror for the men to shave and do their hair in … and more neon. We even peeped a tall built-in shelf stocked with sunscreen for their use.
Gym
Lastly, the Love Island season two villa has a small gym for the contestants to use to stay svelte and fit throughout the competition. There is a handful of weight machines, some free weights, yoga mats, and exercise balls available in the room — which is lined with a green carpet reminiscent of AstroTurf.
