Ben Affleck Finally Reveals Why He Looked So Miserable at the Grammys With Jennifer Lopez

In most cases, the most boring explanation is usually the correct one, and that certainly seems to be the case when it comes to Ben Affleck's recent sour expression. In a new interview, Ben revealed why he looked miserable at the Grammys, and as it turns out, it actually had nothing to do with wife Jennifer Lopez.

Ben recently made headlines for his grumpiness at the Grammys.

Even though he happened to be enjoying one of the biggest nights of music with the woman he loved by his side, Ben looked like he'd rather be anywhere else when cameras were on him.

There were even rumors that he and J.Lo were arguing, making fans think that there might already be trouble in paradise.

Now we know the real reason he looked so mad.

According to what Ben told The Hollywood Reporter, he admitted that, in that moment, he was worried that host Trevor Noah was about to include him in a bit for the show.

"I saw [Noah approach] and I was like, 'Oh, God,'" Ben said. "They were framing us in this shot, but I didn’t know they were rolling."

His exchange with J.Lo had actually been a joke.

Some people might have thought that the couple looked like they were fighting on camera, but Ben says it was actually the opposite.

Ben said that he was telling his wife, "As soon they start rolling, I’m going to slide away from you and leave you sitting next to Trevor."

"She goes, 'You better f—ing not leave,'" he said. "That’s a husband-and-wife thing. I mean, some of it is, I’m like, 'All right, who is this act?'"

He considered the Grammys his 'wife's work event.'

Still, he told the news outlet that he had a "good time." Who wouldn't?!

"My wife was going, and I thought, 'Well, there’ll be good music. It might be fun,'" he said. "At movie award shows, it’s speeches and, like, sound-mixing webinars. But I thought this would be fun."

It's good to hear that all is well.

That's especially good to hear considering that Ben and J.Lo just bought a $64 million house this month for their blended family to live in together.

Here's hoping that things continue to go well — and that Ben keeps enjoying being his wife's plus-one to those work events.
