On Wednesday, Britney was allegedly 'backhanded' by a member of the San Antonio Spurs' security team.
As TMZ originally reported, Britney was at the same restaurant as Victor when she tapped him on the shoulder to ask for a photo, but security director Damian Smith "instantly backhanded her."
Britney filed a police report following the incident, and an investigation seems to be taking place into exactly what happened.
Now, Britney is telling her side of the story.
In a lengthy statement she shared both on Twitter and Instagram, Britney opened up about what happened from her point of view. She wrote that she was trying to tap Victor on the shoulder to congratulate him on his success when the security guard allegedly hit her, "Nearly knocking me down and causing my glasses off my face."
"I get swarmed by people all the time. In fact, that night, I was swarmed by a group of at least 20 fans," she wrote. "My security team didn't hit any of them."
She went on to share that the situation was 'embarrassing' for her to share.

"Watching the player smile and laugh was cruel and demoralizing with the situation that took place," she continued, pointing out their massive height difference.
She also noted, "I have yet to get a public apology from the player, his security, or their organization. I hope they will …"

Meanwhile, Victor is sharing his side.
While talking to reporters Wednesday, Victor claimed that a person "grabbed me from behind" when he was walking to dinner, though he never saw the person.
"I didn’t know for a couple hours, but when I came back to the hotel … I didn't forget about it, but I thought it was no big deal, and then the security of the Spurs told me it was Britney Spears, he said. "At first, I was like, 'You’re joking.' But yeah, turns out it was Britney Spears. I never saw her face. I just kept walking straight."
The investigation seems to be ongoing.
At this point, there are no clear answers about what really happened between Britney and Victor (and Victor's security guard). Hopefully, investigators will be able to get to the bottom of this soon so everyone involved can put it behind them.
