One of the most exciting things that happens in the first year of your baby's life is finally getting to celebrate Mother's Day as a mother yourself. Sure, you've been celebrating the moms in your life all along, but it's a little bit different when you are the one being celebrated. It's always a memorable time, and that goes for our favorite celebrity moms, too.
Thanks to social media, many of the famous moms who are in the spotlight today have the chance to share their motherhood journeys with the world. And though we can't quite relate to the lifestyles many Hollywood moms are able to afford their children, we have noticed that at its core, the love that comes with being a mom is the same across the board — and that includes the excitement of celebrating that very first Mother's Day as part of the club.

Katy Perry
When Katy Perry celebrated her first Mother's Day in 2021 after welcoming daughter Daisy with fiancé Orlando Bloom, he took to Instagram to share this funny picture of Katy as a mermaid, writing about what a "real catch" she is.
"Sending love and respect to all the amazing people who have shaped our lives, supported us, and loved us unconditionally. Happy Mother's Day," Orlando wrote at the time.
Meanwhile, Katy tweeted about what celebrating the day for the first time as a mom meant to her, writing, "I found everything I was ever searching for when I became a mother. So grateful for that profound, deep love and honored to join the mama club."
Olivia Munn
2022 marked Olivia Munn's first Mother's Day after she and John Mulaney became parents to baby Malcolm, and she celebrated by eating fried chicken and biscuits that John had so lovingly treated her to.
"Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there, but especially to the moms who are struggling with postpartum depression/anxiety, still wearing their maternity clothes because you've realized that the snap back is bulls— and so unreal, and feel insecure as they scroll through Insta today realizing they don't have the energy, creativity, or brain power to post a beautiful pic of motherhood," she wrote.
Vanessa Morgan
Riverdale star Vanessa Morgan became a mom to a baby boy named River in January 2021, and she tweeted about how much her first Mother's Day meant to her later that year.
"My first Mother's Day givin me all the feels. Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommas out there!" she wrote.
Jinger Duggar
Considering how many babies and kids are in the family, it goes without saying that Mother's Day is a busy one for the Duggars — but when Jinger celebrated her first holiday as a mom to her oldest daughter, Felicity, her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, took the time to share these sweet photos honoring the moms in his life.
Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra used her first Mother's Day to make a very exciting announcement: the daughter she shares with husband Nick Jonas, Malti Marie, had finally been able to come home after 100 days in the NICU.
She shared a picture of their family of three on Instagram and wrote in the caption: "Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers and caretakers in my life and out there. You make it look so easy. Mandy Moore and husband Taylor Goldsmith are now parents to two little boys, but after they welcomed their first child, Gus, in 2021, she got to celebrate the holiday after just 11 weeks of motherhood.

In honor of his wife's first Mother's Day in 2020, Joshua Jackson shared the sweetest tribute to Jodie Turner-Smith, along with some truly beautiful photos, on Instagram.
