Chris Pratt Says All Dads ‘Fantasize’ About What They’d Do if Someone Hurt Their Kids

It goes without saying that most dads out there would do anything for their children, but Chris Pratt is taking it to another level! In a new interview with Men's Health, Chris revealed he believes that every dad "fantasizes" about what he'd do if someone tried to hurt their children.

Chris was originally comparing himself to his most recent character.

In The Terminal List, Chris plays Jack Carr, a man who has lost his entire family, and according to what he told Men's Health, he can certainly relate to the lengths Jack went to after losing his children.

"Whenever you're put in a position, or even imagine a position, where those kids are in danger, your mind goes to wild places," Chris said.

He thinks every dad imagines what they'd do to someone who put their child in harm's way.

As a dad of three, this is personal to the former Parks & Rec star.

"I think every dad secretly fantasizes about what they would do if someone ever f—ed with their kids. Your partner sees you staring off into the distance and says, 'Honey, what are you thinking about?' And you say, 'Oh, nothing.' But what you’re really thinking is, Where's the duct tape and how deep is the trunk? I think that’s most dads. Or maybe that’s just me and I’m revealing something here!" he said.

He thinks this is why men love action movies about dads defending their kids so much.

"But as someone who’s talked to a lot of dads, I think we all ask ourselves what we would do. That’s one of the reasons Liam Neeson's movie Taken was such a hit. Us dads are just like, “Yes! Get ‘em! Use that special set of skills," he said, according to the magazine.

Chris shares 10-year-old son Jack with ex Anna Faris, while he and his current wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, have two daughters: Lyla, 2, and Eloise, 1.

He also opened up about how fatherhood changed him as an actor.

"When you add the reality of being a father, being a parent, and what that means for us, it's a very powerful tool," he shared with Men's Health. "That level of responsibility opens up a whole new cavern of emotional potential. What would you do to save them? What would happen to you mentally if you lost them? That instinct you have to protect them— those are all things you can try to fake, but it doesn’t really come close to what you have access to when you've lived it. For me, having kids is what it’s all about, and how it’s benefitted me as an actor is a pleasant byproduct."

Chris' kids are lucky to have him.

It's pretty clear that they have a dad who's willing to go to the ends of the earth to protect them (and, apparently, is fine with the idea of stuffing someone in his trunk).

Don't mess with Chris' kids!
