Derek Hough is giving fans an update after his wife, Hayley Erbert, faced a major health scare. Last week, Derek shared that Hayley felt "disoriented" after a performance, which led to her undergoing an emergency craniectomy. Now, the couple is facing their next challenge: Hayley's recovery. She and Derek were on their Symphony of Dance tour after this season of Dancing with the Stars, where Derek served as a judge, came to an end, but it seems like they've had to make a major change in plans on the fly.

Derek shared an update shortly after, filling his followers in on the situation.
"Hayley has always inspired me with her will, her strength, and her resilience and no more so than in the last 48 hrs," he wrote in a post on Instagram over the weekend. "She is now on the long road of recovery."
"Words cannot express how grateful and thankful we are for the support and love that you have given us," he continued. "The kindness that we’ve been shown in this incredibly unfathomable and life-changing time is immeasurable. The offers of assistance that have poured in have been so humbling and appreciated. Our hope is that as a family, we can somehow and some way pay it forward."
There was an outpouring of love for them both.
Many members of Derek's DWTS family were quick to rally behind him and Hayley and show their support in the comments of his post.
"So happy she is ok," Selling Sunset star and DWTS competitor Chrishell Stause commented.
"No need to repay any prayers," cohost Alfonso Ribeiro wrote. "We are all holding you both in our hearts."
"We love you both so much!" Amy Purdy, one of Derek's former DWTS partners, commented. "Hayley is a warrior!! Let all the love sink in and give you strength as you continue to move forward on your healing journey. Sending you both love and prayers for a full recovery."
Derek shared the news of Hayley's condition with his followers last week.
On Thursday, Derek shared a similar Instagram post to inform his followers that his wife had been hospitalized.
"At the end of last night’s tour performance in Washington, D.C., my wife Hayley became disoriented and was taken to the hospital," he wrote. "She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy. She is in stable condition."
He also took the time to thank the first responders who helped Hayley.
He added, "I want to thank the first responders and medical personnel who have cared for and continue to care for her. I ask for your prayers and positivity during this time."
It looks like the people who love Derek and Hayley took his request seriously after seeing all the support they've been getting.

Derek and Hayley's tour has been postponed.
Derek and Hayley married in late August before kicking off the Symphony of Dance tour at the end of September. But after Hayley's medical emergency, the tour has been postponed.
"Please keep your tickets to Derek Hough: Symphony of Dance, as they will be honored for the new date once scheduled," a post on Derek's website reads.
