Jinger Duggar Has a New Self-Help Book Coming Out & People Are Calling It a ‘Cash Grab’

Jinger Duggar is picking up the pen and writing another book. Last year, she released her first memoir, Becoming Free Indeed, where she opened up about her decision to leave the ultra-conservative Christian religion her family practices. People hoped she would reveal dark truths about what it was like growing up in the Duggar household, but in the end, she didn't really make any scandalous reveals. Based on what we know about Jinger’s next book, she still won’t talk directly about her family but rather her life as a seemingly reformed people pleaser. However, Jinger’s critics aren’t so sure she’s the right person to offer such advice.

Jinger’s new book is called People Pleaser: Breaking Free from the Burden of Imaginary Expectations. It is being billed as a “guide” for people to use to break free of their “people-pleasing tendencies” and to figure out their “true identity and purpose in life.” This seems to be more of a self-help book than a memoir, so fans may still have to wait on those juicy details they were hoping for the first time around.

The book has a publication date of January 14, 2025, and is available for preorder on Amazon.

People are having a lot of feelings about it.

Fans over on the popular subreddit DuggarsSnark are having a good time dragging Jinger for not only the subject matter of her book but also for the cover.

“What more can she possibly reveal without burning bridges with her parents? She really toed the line in her last book and gave us nothing we didn’t already know or heavily suspect,” one person wrote.

“What's up with the outdated mommy blogger hat? It is giving 2010 vibes,” another comment read.

Fans didn't hold back their opinions.

“It's so badly done that I thought it was a joke book cover,” one person wrote.

“I'd love to see just one photo of her where she doesn't look absolutely dead behind the eyes,” someone else quipped.

“These hats are still a thing?” yet another commenter asked.

“Girl please. Until you can openly acknowledge that the 'imaginary expectations' are a direct result of your parents raising you in a cult, I don’t want to hear it,” another person shared.

Some fans question the motivation for Jinger to write another book.

Many fans think that the book is merely a way for Jinger to make money because it seems that her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, doesn’t have a job.

“This is giving cash-grab to me, as Jinger's past book seems to have been their biggest success, collectively,” one person wrote.

“ANOTHER book???? no one asked for this …” another commenter added, to which someone else replied “Ah, but Jeremy asked for another paycheck.”

“Jerm is never going to get a job to support his family, is he? Poor Jinger — from one person who treats her as chattel and a meal ticket to another,” someone else added.

The Duggar family seems to be back in a big way.

Jinger’s book announcement comes at a time when multiple members of the Duggar family seem to be resurfacing online. Both Jana Duggar and Josh's wife, Anna, have returned to social media for the first time in two years, and earlier this week, Jason Duggar confirmed that he’s in a new relationship.
