Hillary Clinton Criticized for Selling Merch Tied to Epstein Deposition Moment

After Hillary Clinton spent hours testifying about anything and everything she knows about the late Jeffrey Epstein at the end of February, she’s giving the people what they want — or so she thought. The former First Lady has released merchandise referencing something she said during the four and a half hour deposition in New York, and plenty of people are upset that she would capitalize on such a serious and horrifying situation.

During the deposition, Hillary found out the doors weren’t as closed as she thought they were.

Rep. Lauren Boebert was caught taking photos of Hillary as she testified and leaking the photos to those who weren’t allowed to be in the room where the deposition was taking place. As soon as Hillary’s lawyers caught wind that this was happening, they raised the issue in court right away, and Hillary was unimpressed to find out it was happening (to say the least).

“I’m done with this. If you guys are doing that, I am done,” Hillary said. “You can hold me in contempt from now until the cows come home. This is just typical behavior.”

Later, Boebert defended her decision to take photos, telling reporters (via USA Today), “I really admire her blue suit, so I wanted to capture that for everyone.”

Yeah, right.

Now, she’s selling merch featuring that quote.

Not only is Hillary’s official online store selling baseball caps that read “hold me in contempt until the cows come home,” complete with an illustration of a cow on the back.

The quote is also featured in pink text on different shirts, from crewnecks to tees. Hats will run customers about $39, while crewneck sweatshirts are $30. They are sold through Onward Together, Hillary’s organization, and according to Buzzfeed, when she shared the new merch on her Instagram Stories earlier this month, she clarified, “Each purchase is a contribution to Onward Together. All proceeds will support groups and leaders working to defend our democracy and build a fairer, more inclusive America.”

People have a lot of strong feelings about this.

As Buzzfeed pointed out, plenty of people are unimpressed with Hillary’s choice to sell merchandise that references her deposition, given how serious the ongoing allegations about child trafficking among powerful people in America has been.

In a Reddit thread about the new merch, more than one person voiced their disapproval, with one commenter writing, “She always struggles to read the room. This is deeply problematic and disgusting.”

It’s totally understandable why people would be upset about something like this, but at least the profits are going to a good cause?
