Jelly Roll’s Wife Bunnie XO Reveals He Left Social Media After Comments About His Weight

Sometimes, it’s easy to forget that celebrities are humans, just like us, and that means many online trolls end up making comments about them that they would never say to that person's face. Bunnie XO, the wife of popular musician Jelly Roll, got honest about how comments by strangers about his weight have had a negative effect on the singer. In fact, it's gotten so bad that the comments have forced him to leave social media for his mental health. Too often people comment on other people’s weight in the name of concern and fail to realize they’re doing more harm, and Bunnie XO wants them to realize their words have meaning.

In a clip from her Dumb Blonde podcast that she shared on TikTok, Bunnie XO revealed that Jelly Roll "got off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his f—ing weight."

"And that makes me want to cry because he is the sweetest angel baby," she said. "My husband doesn’t show it to you guys but I’m gonna have a very vulnerable moment here. It hurts him."

She didn't hold back.

She went on to say that she believes people online think they can say whatever they want, using the reasoning "Well you’re a celebrity, you’re supposed to be able to handle it," but Bunnie XO disagrees.

"Don’t bully people because you never know where they are mentally," she said, adding that people end their lives because of online harassment and bullying.

Fans quickly came to Jelly Roll's defense.

"I’ll throw hands for Jelly," one person commented.

"He is a sweet soul. He has gone through a lot of hurt to be able to love [as] hard as he does," another commenter added.

"To actually troll Jelly Roll, the nicest most humble guy on the planet, is wild! He brought me to a whole new genre! Love you both!" someone else wrote.

Bunnie has had a positive influence on her husband.

Last year in an interview with Billboard, Jelly Roll called Bunnie, whom he married in 2016, "a beacon of change in my life." He is prepping to participate in a 5K in California, and Bunnie will be there to support him (probably from the sidelines).

"Poor thing, she'd have to walk so slow compared to how fast she does 3.1 miles," he told People. "For me, a 15-minute mile, [I'm] going to be huffing it a little bit. For Bunnie, a 15-minute mile is her sauntering."

Jelly Roll is making big changes.

In his preparation for the race, Jelly Roll admitted that he’s lost about 70 pounds. "I've been really kicking a–, man. I'm doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I'm doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day. I'm eating healthy right now," he shared.

"I was thinking, I plan on losing another 100, 100-and-something [pounds]. If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I'm going to feel like by the time I go on tour," he said.
