Jenelle Evans Claims David Eason ‘Ran Over’ Her Dog With Car as Daughter Ensley Watched

Jenelle Evans is making a pretty serious claim against her estranged husband David Eason. She has filed for a domestic restraining order, and in that filing, she revealed that David allegedly killed one of her dogs during a recent altercation. If what Jenelle says is true, this isn’t the first time David has killed one of the family’s dogs. In 2019, David made headlines after he shot the family’s dog Nugget. It was something that caused a lot of trouble in their relationship at the time, and this current incident will no doubt cause more trouble as they move through their separation and divorce.

Jenelle mentioned the incident while filing for a restraining order.

The U.S. Sun obtained the domestic violence protective order filed by Jenelle where she recalled the incident, which she said happened on February 6, 2024. She is seeking protection for herself and her three kids: Jace, Kaiser and Ensley. David was served with the papers earlier this month.

"David has an argument with Jenelle outside of house in the driveway," the complaint read. "David storms off, gets into Jenelle's Toyota Sequoia to drive away without asking Jenelle's permission, pulls out really fast, ran over a puppy, and killed it."

One of their kids was present.

"Kids were at school but stepdaughter [David's daughter Maryssa, 16] was home at the time and witnessed the dog dying. David also witnessed the dog dying," the complaint alleges.

It is unclear based on the filing which one of Jenelle’s dogs David allegedly ran over. The news outlet also reported that Jenelle called out David’s actions on social media at the time.

Jenelle, of course, called David out.

In an older social media post, Jenelle called out David for harming "two of the puppies," but she didn’t clarify which puppies she was referring to, according to The Sun. "Why don't you ask him what he did to 2 of the puppies? He wants to talk s— about me well he's the one that didn't keep them safe. One of them was his daughters," the post read.

David did eventually admit to killing Nugget in 2019.

Although this latest incident could have been an accident, it certainly does feel like déjà vu considering David killed family dog Nugget in 2019. At first, he didn’t admit to shooting Nugget, but then he eventually confessed to People that year that he was the one who did it after the dog nipped at Ensley.

"I’m not going to pay anyone to euthanize my dog when I could do it myself," he admitted. "It was not something I wanted to do."

Jenelle detailed some of David's abusive behavior.

Jenelle called out David for "emotionally abusive behavior" around her and her kids in the protection order filing.

"Defendant's behavior causes a heightened level of anxiety for all three children in the home and he has a history of physically acting out to include punching or hitting holes and walls, throwing objects, stealing items from Jenelle," she alleged. "These former acts of physical intimidation have given plaintiff PTSD and she is scared this behavior might happen again soon. Some of those behaviors were in front of the children over the years."
