Jenelle Evans Hired a Private Investigator To Watch David Eason Amid Separation Drama

Jenelle Evans is getting serious about her separation from husband David Eason — so serious that the former Teen Mom star hired a private investigator to see what he’s doing on their shared boat. David has been living on the boat since February when Jenelle kicked him and his daughter Maryssa out of their home. She then filed for separation from David, and asked for sole custody of their daughter Ensley. Many people believe that her regaining custody of her eldest son Jace has a lot to do with her decision to end things with David, since he is still facing felony charges for allegedly assaulting Jace.

The private investigator has made contact with David.

Multiple sources told The U.S. Sun that the private investigator hired by Jenelle went at least once to the marina in North Carolina where David has been living on their boat. They also claimed that the PI approached David to try to get back Jenelle’s wallet that he allegedly had taken from her. One of the sources claimed that the investigator had ties to Jenelle’s divorce lawyer, and that’s who sent them out.

David has been living on the boat for over a month.

When Jenelle filed for separation, she made reference to the fact that David had been living on the boat while it was docked in the marina since February 16. "[David] has been spending his days drinking liquor at a bar near the marina," she wrote in the filing. David left their home when they learned that Jenelle would be getting custody of Jace again.

David is still facing felony charges.

Currently, David is still facing a felony strangulation charge for allegedly attacking Jace in September and has a no-contact order against him after all this. Jace was removed from their home after the altercation and placed in the care of CPS while they investigated both Jenelle and David. CPS dropped the case in February, which prompted the change in David and Jenelle’s relationship.

Jenelle packed up all of David's things.

Earlier in March, Jenelle packed up all of David’s belongings that were in their house. "It looks like Jenelle is really leaving David this time. Last week she spent a bunch of time he spent packing up his belongings, and she's now trying to figure out how to get him his stuff without having to interact with him," an insider told The U.S. Sun. "Jace is absolutely elated David seems to be going for real this time. It's a huge sigh of relief for him after everything he went through these past months."

Jenelle wants to keep The Land.

In addition to asking for sole custody of their daughter Ensley, Jenelle has filed for the right to keep the couples’ home on what they call "The Land." She said that since David has left their home, he "has made several statements that plaintiff cannot keep him from 'his' home."

She added, "Plaintiff is in need of the sole use enjoyment and possession of the property for the benefit of plaintiff and the minor children and hereby requests this court to enter an order sequestering the property for the benefit of plaintiff and the minor children."
