Jenelle Evans must be on an emotional roller coaster right now. Last week, she shared that CPS had dropped the case against her and husband David Eason in regard to her son Jace. Then she posted a video of Jace happily reunited with his younger siblings. But now multiple sources are confirming that Jenelle and David are separated and could be heading for divorce. The CPS case may have been dropped, but David was charged with the assault of Jace, and that may be influencing the couple’s decision to separate.

Jenelle and David are using social media to drop hints about their relationship.
A Teen Mom fan account called @tm_chatter shared a post on Instagram from another fan who pointed out potential clues that there is trouble in paradise for Jenelle and David. She reported that David has changed his Facebook relationship status to "separated," and she added screenshots from Jenelle’s Instagram Stories showing she has been spending a lot of time in her "she shed" lately.
Jenelle has apparently kicked out both David and his daughter Maryssa.
"David has been staying on Jenelle's boat over the past week, but then on Monday, things began to get heated," a source told The U.S. Sun.
“Jenelle started texting Maryssa that since her father was no longer at the house, she could no longer live there, either," the source said, adding that Jenelle told the teen, "I have custody of Jace now, and he's my priority."
David is making moves to end the relationship.
The source also claimed that Jenelle continued to text the teen, telling her she needed to find new living arrangements, so Maryssa packed up and left.
"David is supposed to be filing for divorce sometime today — his plan is to get ahead of Jenelle filing," the insider said.

David's assault charges have been upgraded.
David is facing felony assault charges after an altercation he had with Jace back in September after the 14-year-old ran away from home for the third time. Originally, David was charged with misdemeanor child abuse, but the indictment was changed to felony assault by strangulation in January.
As a result of the charges, David is not allowed to be in contact with Jace, and because CPS dropped the case, it was unknown how Jenelle could regain custody of her son with her husband still in the house.
CPS' decision to drop the charges seems sudden to many fans.
Jenelle revealed in a TikTok video that "CPS took a voluntary dismissal" and the case was dropped.
"I’d appreciate it if everyone respects my son’s privacy so he can get his mental health in check. Just know that I am super happy. I feel like this is unreal. Still hasn’t hit me yet," she said.
At this point, Jenelle hasn't shared whether Jace has moved back in.
