Jenelle Evans Issued Gag Order As Social Media Posts Cause Son Jace ‘Emotional Distress’

Jenelle Evans is known for sharing everything going on in her life with her followers on social media, but it looks like that may be coming to an end for a while. A judge has placed the former Teen Mom star under a gag order, preventing her from publicly discussing the ongoing CPS custody case regarding her eldest son Jace. After reportedly running away three times and experiencing alleged assault by his stepfather David Eason, the teen has been under the care of Child Protective Services. But according to reports, Jenelle's repeated posts about her son’s mental health and continued support of her husband are causing the teen distress.

Jenelle's frequent social media posts are upsetting her son.

The U.S. Sun reported that Jenelle’s frequent posts about Jace's mental health, the court case, CPS, and her mom Barbara Evans have caused Jace "mental distress."

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail shortly after the charges against David were filed, Jenelle said, "I cannot say any details at this time because this is about my son’s mental health, not about my husband and I cannot stress that enough."

They were alerted that a gag order was possible before it was put into action.

According to The Sun, the judge first mentioned the gag order last week during a hearing that included Jenelle, David, and Barbara. David was only allowed to be at the hearing because Jace wasn’t in attendance, and he is still not allowed to have any contact with the 14-year-old due to the pending child abuse charge after David allegedly assaulted him in September.

There is another person involved in the gag order who may come as a total surprise.

In an absolute plot twist, Jace’s biological father, Andrew Lewis, has also been included in the gag order.

"Can't talk about it. Period. It's been officially gagged sorry," Andrew said to The Sun when asked to comment on the situation.

For those who don’t know, Andrew has never had much of a relationship with Jace, but paid child support to both Barbara and Jenelle. According to The Ashley's Reality Roundup, Andrew has been part of the CPS custody case for a few weeks. They claim that part of the hearing may have outlined how much Andrew would be involved in what happens to Jace.

Jace is reportedly 'thrilled' to have a potential relationship with his dad.

"Andrew was part of the hearing last week," a source told The Ashley. "Jenelle wasn’t aware until that point that Andrew was going to be included in the case and was really surprised."

Earlier this year, Andrew spoke with The US Sun about his desire to have a relationship with his son. A source close to the situation has shared that Jace is "thrilled" to be talking with his dad.

There's no word about what happens if the gag order is violated, but it could be far reaching.

The Ashley also speculates that because the gag order is now in place, this means that no one who is part of the case can talk about it, or the situation surrounding it, with Jace. It could prohibit any CPS employees, law enforcement, or court workers from talking about the case among themselves or with the teen.

According to The Sun, while it’s unclear what the repercussions of violating the gag order could be, they typically range from monetary damages to jail time.
