With a family as big as the Duggar family, learning everyone’s names can certainly be a challenge – especially because most of them are now married with children of their own. And according to what Jinger Duggar said on the new episode of her podcast, memorizing those names can be a bit of a struggle for her two daughters, who are both under the age of 7. Who could blame them?!

Jinger and Jeremy recently traveled back to Arkansas for the holiday.
Because they live in California, away from the rest of the family, they don’t get to see Jinger’s siblings and their families very often, which means daughters Felicity and Evangeline don’t get to see them all the time either. As Jinger said on this week’s episode of The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, that can lead to a bit of confusion when it comes to their family and who is who.
The family got together for brunch during Jinger's visit home.
That means that her girls got to spend time with their cousins, who Jinger said they “really, really love,” but there was just one problem: It’s hard for a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old to keep everybody’s names straight!
“They forget half of the names and I feel like half the cousins forget each other’s names too – not each other’s names – the older, like, the aunts and uncles,” Jinger said. “There’s just so many to remember.”
Their family is obviously a lot bigger than most.
Now that Jim Bob and Michelle have more than 30 grandchildren – and more on the way – there’s no doubt it’s a lot of people to keep track of, for a kid or an adult. There’s a good chance Evangeline and Felicity know the names of the cousins they seem to see the most, such as Jessa’s kids and Joy-Anna’s kids, but the rest? It must be so overwhelming!

Jinger admitted Felicity gets confused about which other adults are related to her.
After watching a video where Jinger and Jeremy’s friends announced a pregnancy recently, Felicity had questions.
“So she watched it a couple times and then she said, ‘OK Mom, now who is Christian Paul to me? He’s one of my uncles, right? Is he one of my uncles?’” Jinger said on the podcast.
She understands it all can be 'so confusing.'
Fortunately, even when her daughters get confused, their mom totally understands.
“It’s hard to know who your aunts and uncles are when your mom’s a part of a large family,” Jinger explained. “And then with the 19 siblings, then you have the in-laws as well and then all the nieces and nephews. It’s hard to tell who’s related, and then we have friends who feel like family, but they aren’t technically family.”
