Nearly a month after the release of People Pleaser: Breaking Free from the Burden of Imaginary Expectations, Jinger Duggar is being called out for her newest book. Critics on Reddit are accusing Jinger of using ghost writers to create her book, even after she described herself as an “author.” Now, it’s raising a lot of questions about how involved she was in the making of the book.

Now that people have had a chance to read Jinger’s book, not everyone is impressed by the contents. On a popular Duggar-related subreddit, more than one post has pointed out the errors in the book, including simple mistakes like a lowercase “I” that should have been capitalized.
This week, another post about the quality of Jinger’s book is getting attention on Reddit, as TVShowsAce pointed out – and according to her critics, there’s a bit of suspicion she had some extra help in writing it.
One person pointed out that Jinger described herself as a “mom, wife, friend, author, and media person with a busy schedule” in People Pleaser, and others questioned how she qualified as an “author.”
Oh shut up there’s no way having published one book makes being an “author” such a time consuming part of your life

“Why does it look like it was written on Microsoft Word without spell check being involved?” one person wrote.
Another commenter shared, “her book seems so poorly written I feel inspired to try to write a book lol.”

After one Redditor pointed out that Jinger uses ghost writers, another replied, “Then Jing needs to ask for her money back because this reads as if it was written by someone with a dubious grasp of basic spelling and grammar.”
Jinger has always been open about using ghost writers for the books she’s penned in the past, and the one who helped her with People Pleaser, Julie Lyles Carr, is credited as an author on the cover of the book. This is pretty common when it comes to memoir-style books from celebrities; they want to tell their story but need a little assistance from a professional to make it happen.
This time, it does appear errors were missed in editing that should have been caught, but writing a book is a big undertaking. And so far, it looks like plenty of people are reading it, so it seems that either way, she reached her goal.
