Jon Gosselin Isn’t Attending Cara & Mady’s Graduation After 9 Years Without Communication

Despite the fact that Jon and Kate Gosselin's kids are basically all grown up now, it doesn't sound like anything has changed when it comes to most of their relationships with their dad. In fact, according to the former reality TV star himself, Jon's oldest daughters haven't returned his text messages in more than nine years.

Jon said the last time he spoke to Cara and Mady was 2014.

In an interview with the U.S. Sun, Jon said he hasn't heard from his oldest daughters, who are now 22, in nearly a decade.

"The last time I spoke to Mady and Cara was 2014. I periodically text Mady and Cara to see if I get a response and at this point, I’ve never heard from them," he said.

This means he'll be missing out on another big milestone in their lives.

Jon missed their high school graduation, and now he will be missing their college graduation, too, according to what he told the news outlet.

But that's not all — he also won't be seeing most of his sextuplets walk across the stage to accept their high school diplomas this year either, save for Hannah and Collin, who Jon has full custody of.

"Sadly I won’t be attending the other kids' high school graduation. The last time I spoke to Alexis, Aaden, Leah and Joel was in 2018," he said.

It seems Jon is remaining hopeful for the future.

On May 10, when his sextuplets celebrated their 19th birthday, he shared a photo of all of them together as children, wishing them well.

"HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY to all my Kids!! I love you all so much!!" he wrote.

In an interview from earlier this year, Jon shared his hope for reconciling with the kids once they move out of ex Kate's house and have more freedom for themselves.

Fortunately, some of his family has managed to piece itself back together.

Recently, Jon shared that his daughter, Hannah, has reconnected with her siblings and mom — something that has been hard for her to do after leaving Kate's house to go live with her father. Unfortunately, her brother, Collin, who also lives with Jon, hasn't had the same luck.

There are a lot of changes happening in the Gosselin family.

With the kids graduating high school, Jon and Kate are both about to become empty nesters very soon … and it's possible with the freedom that comes with young adulthood, those kids will try to heal their relationships with their parents.

Here's hoping everything works out for the best for this famous family.
