Josh Duggar Has Been Moved to His 4th Prison in 5 Years & Sources Say He’s Become a Security Risk

Josh Duggar is on the move — well, as much as he can be while he’s in custody. After the former reality star was transferred to a medical prison facility at the end of May, he has made it to his next location: A prison in Oklahoma. There’s no word on what his final destination will be, but being that this is the 4th prison that Josh has been held in the past five years, it seems like something must be happening behind the scenes.

On May 29, Josh was moved from FCI Seagoville to the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth (fun fact: This is the same facility where Joe Exotic is being held). An official reason for Josh being moved was never made public, but it did take place just as his most recent appeal was denied by a judge.

Now, he’s been moved again. Us Weekly confirmed on Monday that Josh has been transferred once more — this time to Federal Transfer Center (FTC) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. But since this is a transfer facility (as you probably could have guessed from the name of the prison), he won’t be there long term, and so far, where he will end up hasn’t been revealed.

For now, Josh is closer to Anna and the kids than he was in Texas, but he may not be allowed to have visitors if he’s going to be moving again soon.

His lawyer is still convinced this is a “punitive” move.

Josh’s attorney, Beau Brindley, believed that Josh being moved to the medical center in the first place was the prison supposedly retaliating against him for exposing the issues in their system during his last appeal, and his story certainly hasn’t changed since then.

Talking to TMZ this week, Beau said that this move was “punitive” too, and added that his list of allowed contacts has been removed, so he hasn’t been able to keep in touch with anyone he was previously allowed to contact before the move — possibly including his family.

It could be because he has become a security risk.

According to blogger Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball, who has spoken to prison sources, Josh could be on the move for weeks or even months for becoming a “security risk.”

“The prison system does this to destabilize the inmate and cut them off from outside sources enabling their behavior,” she wrote in an Instagram post she shared earlier this week.

She added, “Because Josh has already moved out of the three Sex Offender prisons in a matter of weeks — there are none remaining in the local area. Where Josh will end up next is unknown. But this is FAFO FEDERAL prison style.”

Whatever is going on, it doesn’t seem like Josh has been receiving warm welcomes anywhere he’s landed so far.
