We officially have a new couple alert! Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o were spotted out and about together holding hands now that they're both single again. There have been rumblings the two have been dating in recent weeks as they have been spotted out together several times after their previous relationships ended. Joshua was married to actress Jodie Turner Smith for four years before she filed for divorce this fall, and Lupita was in a relationship with media personality Selema Masekela for at least a year that ended in October.

The pair were seen holding hands.
Earlier this week, Joshua and Lupita were spotted holding hands while out in Joshua Tree, California. Both were dressed in casual clothes: Lupita in yellow sweats and a T-shirt that reads “IT'S OKAY TO CRY,” and a beanie, and Joshua also in sweats and a beanie.
This isn't the first time they were spotted together this week.
On Monday, they were spotted in Los Angeles, leaving Erewhon market. They also hit up a convenience store and were seen getting in a Tesla and driving together.
It was another super casual hang, but that might just be a sign that they're comfortable together already.
Rumors of their relationship began in October of this year.
Reports of their pairing first came earlier this fall, when the two were spotted chatting with each other at Janelle Monáe’s Los Angeles concert. According to TMZ, sources said they had arrived together, but they were also a part of a group of nine or 10 people, so there was nothing romantic happening at the time.

Joshua's marriage to Jodie Turner-Smith ended this year.
The actress filed for divorce in early October, citing "irreconcilable differences." The couple share a daughter. At the time of their divorce announcement, a source told People that Jodie simply "decided she is done" with the relationship.
"They are on very different paths in life," the source said. "It turned into an unhealthy marriage that made her unhappy."
Lupita had her own breakup experience around the same time.
She announced the end of her relationship in an Instagram post, saying she felt it "necessary for me to share a personal truth and publicly dissociate myself from someone I can no longer trust. I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception.
"I am reminded that the magnitude of the pain I am feeling is equal to the measure of my capacity for love. And so, I am choosing to face the pain, cultivating the courage to meet my life exactly as it is, and trusting that this too shall pass," she continued.
