There's an old saying, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder," but that doesn't appear to be the case for former reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley. According to a source close to Julie, the time apart from her husband has prompted her to blame him for their current legal predicament.

Julie has allegedly claimed that her husband pushed her into the fraud scheme.

The couple may have presented a united front in the courtroom, but all of that has changed since Julie began her seven-year sentence at a prison in Lexington, Kentucky, according to the Daily Mail. Apparently, she's been talking to her friends about how Todd convinced her to commit crimes by promising her that they would "never go to jail."
It sounds like Todd was the mastermind.
"Todd assured her that they would not go to jail and now Julie regrets what she did in the name of fame," the source continued, adding that Julie has begun to lose hope about any chance of appealing their combined 19-year sentence.
"She is losing faith that they will get this overturned and she is so sad," the insider added. "It is heartbreaking."
She doesn't know how she'll make it through such a long sentence.
Julie shares three children with Todd, including granddaughter Chloe, whom the pair have adopted and were raising until they reported to their respective prison facilities. The 50-year-old has become very aware of just how much she stands to miss while she serves out her time.
"She has broken down. She is not doing well at all," the source revealed. "She cannot fathom how she will spend years being locked up and feels that she let her family down."
Daughter Savannah has opened up about how her mom is dealing with her new reality.
During a recent episode of her podcast, the 25-year-old talked about her mom's struggles, sharing that she's scared and nervous about being in prison. "She's just staying busy. She's trying to do anything and everything, take classes — everything known to man that she can do, she does," she told her Unlocked listeners.

This has to be difficult for everyone involved.
We're sure there are plenty of challenges to being in prison that don't even include the emotional struggles of being away from your family while they grow up and hit so many important milestones without you.
Hopefully Julie is getting some emotional support while she's locked up to help her get through the next seven years a bit more easily.
