Kate Middleton Reportedly Pushed Royals To Acknowledge Prince Harry’s Birthday

The rift between Prince Harry and his family back in the United Kingdom seems to be growing deeper all the time, so many royal watchers were truly surprised to see the public well-wishes the royals sent Harry’s way when he turned 40 in September. According to one source, however, if Kate Middleton hadn’t pushed the royals to post about the occasion, they simply wouldn’t have.

The royals posted a photo of Harry in honor of the milestone birthday.

In a post that was shared on the official royal social media accounts, they shared a picture of Harry sitting at a table, laughing at something out of the frame.

“Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday today!” read the caption.

Prince William and Kate’s official account on X (formerly Twitter) shared the photo in a quote tweet as well.

Kate may have been the one to make that post happen.

According to what a royal insider told In Touch Weekly, Kate was the driving force behind the post.

“She told William in no uncertain terms that this is not the time for resentment, they needed to show the world that love and family are front and center of their values, but more importantly she wanted Harry to have this message on his big day,” the source said.

Before the post was made in September, it seemed like tension between Harry and his family had reached a fever pitch.

After King Charles claimed his schedule was too packed to see his son during a recent visit to the UK, it seemed like things weren’t getting any better between the two. So it was surprising to see Harry’s face pop up on the royal accounts on his birthday – but maybe it’s also a sign that nothing is too damaged to be fixed, especially with Kate on the case.

The birthday message, though simple, reportedly 'meant the world' to Harry.

“It meant the world to [Harry] that the royals as well as the Waleses’ sent this olive branch on social media, and Kate made a point to call him and send a thoughtful gift his way as well,” the source shared.

Given how close Kate and Harry were before the royal feud really kicked off back in 2018, it’s no surprise that she’s the one pushing for some kind of resolution — especially after everything she’s been through this year.

This doesn't mean that Will is ready to kiss and make up, though.

According to the source, the way that William feels about Harry “has not changed.”

“He loves his brother and always will, but it’s too early for him to sit down for any type of dialogue with his brother,” the insider added. “Still, Kate aims to change this over time.”

If anyone could make it happen, it’s her!
