"After Hours" singer Kehlani is in a custody battle with her ex Javaughn Young-White. This week, Javaughn filed for full custody of their 5-year-old daughter, Adeya Nomi, claiming that Kehlani belongs to a dangerous "cult" that has allegedly convinced his ex that he is a danger to her and their child. This news comes less than two months after the release of Kehlani's latest album, Crash, was released in June.

Javaughn claims that Kehlani has joined a cult.
According to court documents obtained by People, Kehlani has never added Javaughn's name to Adeya's birth certificate, even though he claims that he's asked her. He also said she has refused to show him their daughter's social security number, and he is unsure if she has one.
"Adeya was born through a home birth orchestrated by what I would describe as a cult that she belongs in," he wrote. "Due to the fact that Adeya was born in a home and not in a conventional setting like a hospital, my name is not on Adeya's birth certificate."
He said Kehlani's cult leader is interfering in 'the upbringing of our daughter.'
Javaughn said that the leader, who he alleges has been the subject of "numerous accusations of committing sexual assault," has reportedly told Kehlani that he is a danger to Adeya and would kill her.
This has led to Kehlani refusing to allow her to leave their daughter with Javaughn when she's on tour, and instead, the little girl is left in the care of "random strangers" who belong to the cult.
Javaughn also mentioned disturbing things he claims happens between Adeya and members of the cult.
In the court documents, Javaughn went on to say that Adeya sleeps in a bed with other cult members, who give her baths. He also alleged that a woman the cult calls "Messiah" would take baths with Adeya while under the influence of psychedelic drugs.

Now, he's seeking full custody.
Javaughn is asking the court to establish his paternity, because he's not listed on Adeya's birth certificate, and if full custody is granted, he's seeking child support from his ex.
It's not clear what cult he is claiming that Kehlani belongs to from the legal documents.
So far, Kehlani hasn't spoken out about the allegations.
However, hours after the news originally broke earlier this week, TMZ shared an update. According to the news outlet, Kehlani and Javaughn have been ordered to participate in mediation to create a "mutually agreeable parenting plan" and to discuss custody and visitation.
