What to Know
Although Kendra Duggar was charged with much less serious crimes than her husband Joseph Duggar, they involved her kids and losing the ability to see her children for some time. Now, according to TMZ, Kendra had a hearing that ended with a small win in her case involving her children. When Joseph was arrested for charges relating to child molestation, Kendra also had charges of false imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a minor.
Those charges involved her kids. Now, Kendra appears to be on the fast track to reunification. Her case is separate from Joseph’s, however. And, per People, Joseph is not to have any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 18. That includes his four children that he shares with Kendra.
The no contact order involved her kids.

Kendra pleaded not guilty to endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment of her children. The no contact order that had been in place because of those charges was officially dissolved by a judge, meaning Kendra can see her children again. Provided, of course, that she does so by the book.
The ruling also means that the Arkansas Department of Human Services is working toward reunification for Kendra and her kids. And, as someone pointed out on Reddit, it makes sense for the no contact order to have been dissolved as the first major move in Kendra’s legal troubles that happened after she and Joseph were arrested.
“It would be unrealistic to expect the order to stand for long,” they wrote. “Unless the kids were being totally neglected or abused, they are not going to take your kids away from you over this kind of issue. The aim will be to ensure you understand the seriousness of the underlying issue(s) that triggered the investigation and charge and that you understand it can’t happen.”
People are still urging Kendra to leave.

On the same Reddit post about the change in Kendra’s case and her small legal win involving her kids, users questioned whether or not Kendra would leave Joseph if she gained full custody of their children again. Most of us who have seen this before (ahem, Anna Duggar) know the answer to that, though.
“If I were Kendra, the minute I get the kids back, I’d be running far away from the Duggars,” a Redditor commented on the post. “Sadly, that won’t happen.”
Another pointed out, “The idea would never cross her mind. Even if it did, she’d have no clue how to do it…and if she knew how, she still doesn’t have the resources to do so.”
Joseph faces similar charges.

If Joseph can’t legally have unsupervised access to anyone under 18, including his own kids, it’s hard to imagine how that might look in his and Kendra’s home if the kids return home and Joseph has not had a trial for his more serious charges. Logistically speaking, it would mean Joseph cannot be left alone with his kids and that another adult would have to be present at all times.
There’s a lot of speculation without any solid confirmation just yet about what might happen when the dust settles.
Someone commented in that same Reddit thread, “The problem that’s going to occur is that Joe is still in the home as of now, if someone is in the home that is not allowed around minors that they can’t get to the home stay process of the reunification. So I would say in about three months there will probably [be] a switch from supervised to unsupervised. Kendra is gonna have to choose.”
Of course the issue with that is that Kendra would likely defer to Joseph’s decisions regardless. For now, though, a lot is up in the air when it comes to these particular Duggars.
