Things are really escalating in the divorce between Kevin Costner and his estranged wife Christine Baumgartner.
Christine is accusing the actor of being "evasive" about some of his financial assets as they continue to duke it out over his $400 million fortune. She believes that there is money Kevin is hiding so that it doesn’t become part of how things like spousal and child support are handled. He doesn’t seem to be taking the bait, instead pointing everything back to the premarital agreement.

Christine thinks that Kevin and his team are being evasive.

According to documents obtained by RadarOnline, Christine filed documents asking a California judge to sanction Kevin with a $8,985 fine. She claims that Kevin is using a financial "smokescreen" to hide assets when they have an important evidentiary hearing at the end of August.
His 'Yellowstone' earnings are part of this.

Her team claims Kevin only gave the court financial records for four of his 24 companies. He has also reportedly failed to deliver the financials for his Horizon: An American Saga film series as well as contracts that show how much he earned while starring on the popular television show Yellowstone.
Christine's legal team thinks a fine is the only way to discover the truth.

"There is no telling what other documents in response to this Demand that Kevin has chosen to withhold because he continues to provide evasive and incomplete information regarding the documents in existence and his basis for refusing to produce them," Christine’s attorney stated in the court documents.
"Kevin has made it evident that he will refuse to produce all contracts related to his current business endeavors and professional services until there is an Order compelling him to do so."

Kevin's lawyers are blaming Hollywood for the withholding.

Christine is demanding that Kevin give records for all of the money he’s earned in the past few years, but his team is saying that there are certain records they’re not allowed to release because they are "highly confidential."
"In their August 18, 2023, Kevin's counsel indicated for the first time that there is an operating agreement in effect with respect to Kevin's 'Horizon' project, but that Kevin's would not be producing it as it is 'highly confidential' and 'not relevant.'"
Kevin’s lawyers claim they’ve given over documents that account for 98% of his financial assets.
Kevin recently made a request of his own.

Christine’s request comes nearly two weeks after Kevin asked a judge to hit her with a fine of $14,237.50. He accused her of using "gamesmanship" and legal stall tactics after she refused to answer required basic discovery questions about their premarital agreement.
Kevin’s lawyers accused Christine of playing a "game of chicken" and wasting their time.
