King Charles Reveals the Sweet Story Behind the Last Time He Cried

King Charles might not seem like a very outwardly emotional guy from what we know about it, but when it matters most, it appears he’s not afraid to express how he really feels. Earlier this week, Charles admitted that he cried while watching wife Queen Camilla’s latest project, and it sounds like he’s very proud of her and the work that she’s doing with her platform.

Charles held a reception at Buckingham Palace in honor of the film and TV industry.

“As the Film and TV Charity (@filmtvcharity) marks its 100th anniversary, The King and Queen welcomed directors, actors, TV presenters, stunt performers and costume designers to Buckingham Palace this afternoon,” the royals shared on their official Instagram account. “His Majesty has become Patron of the charity, following in the footsteps of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.”

Charles talked about Camilla's new documentary at the reception.

CalledĀ Her Majesty the Queen: Behind Closed Doors, the documentary shines a light on domestic violence.

ā€œItā€™s very moving isnā€™t it? I think BAFTA [British Academy of Film and Television Arts] are interested in it,ā€ Charles said to guests at the reception, viaĀ The Telegraph.

He went on to admit that the documentary got him a bit choked up.

He admitted that he was “moved to tears” by what he saw in the 90-minute documentary, and it seemed he was happy to brag about his wife’s accomplishment.

Charles added, ā€œI am very proud of it. It reduced me to tears.ā€

Camilla was able to attend the reception.

Although Camilla has had to cancel some of her recent appearances as she recovered from a chest infection, including the Remembrance Sunday service last weekend, it appears she’s feeling much better and is back to work. However, King Charles attended the Gladiator IIĀ premiere after the reception, while Camilla stayed back, likely to get some extra rest.

'Her Majesty the Queen: Behind Closed Doors' is streaming in the UK.

The documentary isn’t available in the US yet, and it’s not clear when ā€” or if ā€” it will be.

“Now available on ITVX, the 90-minute film follows The Queen over the course of a year as she attends official engagements and never before seen private meetings with survivors and change makers who are trying to achieve progress in this field,” read a release from the palace.
