The latest Duggar to break the family's strict dress code may be the matriarch herself, Michelle Duggar. The 56-year-old appeared to be wearing leggings in a new photo of some of the 19 Kids and Counting family. If so, it would be a huge leap for her, since she believes women should only wear dresses and skirts so they remain as modest as possible.

The Duggar daughters got together for a rare afternoon out together.
Michelle took her younger girls out to meet up with her older daughters for what looked like a great day of family bonding.
Jana, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, and Joy-Anna were all photographed wearing pants and standing alongside their younger sisters, who wore the family's traditional modesty-protecting knee-length skirts.
Michelle hopped into one of the photos, smiling along with some of her large brood.
Fans were surprised to see Michelle among the Duggars wearing pants. The matriarch has followed the Institute in Basic Life Principles' uber-strict dress code over the years, opting for garments that cover her legs, arms, shoulders, and chest.
In fact, she's stayed so true to the IBLP's policies that she's even opted to forgo swimwear while at the beach, and was once photographed taking in the sun while wearing a hot looking full-length skirt and long-sleeved T-shirt.
Fans couldn't believe their eyes.
"Is Michelle wearing pants?" one person excitedly posted on the photo Jessa shared featuring her mother. "Did I miss something?"
Another celebrated the rare snap of Michelle wearing a more modern and carefree look. "So cool seeing Michelle wearing pants," the commenter posted.
In the end, the photo wasn't quite what it appeared to be.
Upon further inspection, it looks like Michelle is wearing a modest skirt.
Without a Crystal Ball's Katie Joy reshared some of the family pictures from that day, noting that Michelle wasn't being quite as bold as fans had originally thought.
"Michelle is not wearing pants, FYI," Katie explained. "She is wearing an athletic garment for fundamentalist women that combines leggings under a skirt. The skirts are sold at outlets that sell modest wear."

Times may be changing for some of the Duggars, but not for others.
It would appear that those still living at home and under the watchful eye of Jim Bob Duggar are still remaining true to the teachings of the IBLP, while the women who have either moved out or started families of their own are free to make their own fashion choices.
We have to admit that we're loving how the older Duggar sisters are each coming into their own. They're making their own rules, even if their mom chooses to stick to what she believes in.
