The Best New Shows & Movies Coming to Netflix in February 2023

Now that another month is here, so are lots of new movies and shows on our favorite streaming services, including Netflix. Though January brought us movies such as You People and new seasons of beloved shows including Ginny & Georgia, there's also a lot to look forward to in February — especially if you love romantic comedies and reality TV.

We have another installment of Love Is Blind: After the Altar on the way — updating us on what the cast from the series' third season is up to now — along with Perfect Match, a dating competition series that unites the stars of our favorite Netflix reality shows all on the same beach. February also brings the release of the fourth season of You, as well as a new rom-com, Your Place or Mine, starring Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher. And that's just scratching the surface of the new content rolling out in the coming month.

'The Great British Baking Show: The Professionals' Season 6

The month is starting strong with a new season of The Great British Baking Show: The Professionals premiering on February 1. In the middle of what's been a very long winter for many of us, what could be more heartwarming than this fun watch?

'Gunther's Millions'

The docuseries Gunther's Millions, which arrives February 1, is about a German shepherd dog named Gunther who inherited $400 million when his wealthy owner died. But the human who ended up with the cash, Maurizio Mian, had ties to the mafia, making this an especially intriguing watch.

'True Spirit'

Out February 3, True Spirit is a movie based on the true story of Australian Jessica Watson (played by Teagan Croft, who you might recognize from Titans), the youngest person to sail nonstop around the world by herself at the age of 16. Anna Paquin and Cliff Curtis play Jessica's parents.

'Freeridge'

If you're already missing On My Block, you should check out this spin-off, Freeridge. The series follows a new cast in the same town, promising plenty of laughs as they pick up the pieces after dealing with a curse. You might see a few familar faces on the show, too. It premieres on February 2.

'You' Season 4, Part 1

Netflix's hit series about everyone's favorite stalker and murderer — Joe Goldberg, of course — is back on February 9 with part one of season four. Now that Love is dead, Joe (played by Penn Badgley) is headed off to London to start over, but will he fall back into his old patterns?

'My Dad the Bounty Hunter'

My Dad the Bounty Hunter is a new animated series about what happens when two kids find out that their seemingly average dad is actually an intergalactic bounty hunter. The first season, which features the voice talents of Rob Riggle and Yvette Nicole Brown, starts streaming on February 9.

'Love Is Blind: After the Altar' Season 3

Now that the dust has settled for the couples of season three of Love Is Blind, they're back to update us on whether or not they're still together. The special, which lands on February 10, will include three new episodes, and according to a press release, will follow the cast as they "readjust to life in Dallas after the altar and come together for a birthday extravaganza."

'Your Place or Mine'

Also debuting on February 10 is your new favorite romantic comedy, Your Place or Mine, featuring two of the genre's most popular stars: Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher, of course. These two play best friends who live on opposite coasts and decide to switch houses — but are they just friends?

'Perfect Match'

If you love Netflix's dating shows, this one was made for you. Premiering on February 14, Perfect Match brings the stars of shows including Love Is Blind, The Circle, and Too Hot To Handle together to compete against each other while playing matchmaker with each other along the way.

'African Queens: Njinga'

This docuseries, which explores the lives and history of different African queens, was executive produced by Jada Pinkett Smith. It starts by telling the story of the Angolan Queen Njinga and premieres February 15. It's already been renewed for season two.

'The Upshaws' Season 3

Starring Wanda Sykes, Mike Epps, and Kim Fields, The Upshaws is returning to Netflix on February 16 for a third season. The comedy series follows the Upshaw family, living in Indianapolis and juggling everyday life (and the drama that comes with it).

'Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal'

True crime fans, this new documentary is for you. Arriving February 22, Murdaugh Murders chronicles the death of teenager Mallory Beach after a drunken boating accident that became even more suspicious when the driver of the boat and his mother — two members of a very prominent South Carolina family — ended up being murdered. It's especially timely as the real-life trial is playing out right now.

'The Strays'

In the movie The Strays, a woman seems to be living the perfect middle-class life in the UK when her past comes back to haunt her. This psychological thriller is due out on February 22, and the trailer is giving us all the Jordan Peele vibes.

'Outer Banks' Season 3

On February 23, Outer Banks is back for a third season. The popular teen series catches up with the Pogues, who were stranded on an island the last time we saw them. It looks like there is going to be plenty of drama in the upcoming episodes, along with a lot of action.

'We Have a Ghost'

We Have a Ghost features Stranger Things star David Harbour as Ernest, a ghost who is haunting a house that a family moves into. After the teenager of the family discovers he exists, they end up on a mission to put him to rest — while also dodging the government after they find out about Ernest, too.
