Nick Cannon & Alyssa Scott Bring Daughter Halo to Beach Where They Spent Zen’s Final Days

Nick Cannon never misses an opportunity to honor his son Zen. After Nick and Alyssa Scott welcomed their son in 2021, Zen died in December of 2021 at 5 months old after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. A year later, in December 2022, Nick and Alyssa welcomed their second child together, a daughter named Halo Marie Cannon. Before Zen’s death, Nick and Alyssa spent time with their son at the beach, and now, they're sharing that same special location with Halo.

They spent a gorgeous day at the beach.

Alyssa's version of the video, which is in black and white, features her on the beach holding Halo. She twirls the little one around as they stand in the sunlight with the song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" playing in the background. Nick then appears later in the video, playing with the baby while she’s in her mom’s arms.

“Dreams really do come true mommy & daddy love you," she captioned the video.

The love immediately poured in.

"Love this so much! The B&W feels very cinematic," Nick commented on her post, and Bre Tiesi — another one of Nick's baby mamas — commented, too, writing, "aweee."

One of her commenters wrote: "So beautiful! Zen really sent her to you two."

Nick felt the love of their son during their time at the beach.

Nick also shared a video from the day. He didn't include music in the background, so you can hear the ocean as the three frolic on the beach.

"Zen’s Light and presence shining over little miss Halo and Mommy and Daddy! What a beautiful day to remind us all that there is a higher power and God’s Energy and frequency to keep us all going under his grace and mercy even in the midst of challenges," he captioned the video.

Everyone praised Nick for showing up.

Nick really does seem to love being a dad.

In an exclusive interview with People,, Nick revealed what he believes is the most rewarding part of fatherhood.

"Just hearing your kids say, 'I love you, Daddy.' You know what I mean?" he said. "The first time they say it, whether they're one year old or 18 months, to hearing it from your kids that are on the brink of being teenagers, there's nothing better than that."
