Explore Phil Collins’ Iconic Miami Beach Mansion, Which J.Lo Once Owned

Music producer and songwriter Phil Collins is offloading his massive Miami mansion and we just can't get over how luxurious it is. The hitmaker of songs like "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)" and "In the Air Tonight," both of which we've probably heard in movies a number of times, Phil has raked in a ton of dough.

In 2015, he used $33 million of his sizable fortune to purchase one of the most iconic mansions on Miami's Biscayne Bay, which was previously owned by none other than Jennifer Lopez. Thanks to some drama with his ex-wife, Phil's now selling the sprawling mansion for a hefty $40 million, just six years after initially purchasing it.

The nearly 11,000-square-foot waterfront home has six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a two-story foyer and of course, it boasts a huge gourmet kitchen. To be honest, it looks more like a boutique resort than a family home, especially with its stunning pool deck, complete with a summer kitchen and cabana. Oh, and the views of the Miami skyline across the bay? Priceless. Keep scrolling to get a look inside one of Miami's most stunning homes.

Views All Around

From above, it's evident that Phil's former mansion is surrounded by lush greenery. It also features its own private dock accessed directly from the large pool deck. The city skyline is just on the other side of the bay from the house, and visible from windows inside the home.

Secluded Pool

Nestled in the 1.5-acre property is an expansive swimming pool with a Dominican coral stone deck overlooking the famous Biscayne Bay. There's also an outdoor spa, a 6,000-gallon koi pond, and a cabana from which to lounge and take in the picturesque surroundings and the massive royal palms surrounding it.

Outdoor Lounge

Enhancing the outdoor living space is a lounge area just to the side of the pool and spa. There's a decorative water feature and an outdoor seating area surrounding a fire pit. We're sure the space is perfect for a cozy evening enjoying the water views and a few drinks after a lovely dinner.

Covered Deck

There's also a spacious covered stone deck that overlooks the bay. It features multiple large ceiling fans and lots of room for both dining and lounging. Even the ceiling is pretty with its wooden beams that lead to columns attached to the half-wall that borders the deck. The breeze must be lovely.

Summer Kitchen

The home's summer kitchen reminds us so much of the type of pool bar and grill often found at luxe resorts. There's a massive grill set behind a wood and stone bar, which is equipped with a TV. A ceiling fan hangs above to keep everyone cool and comfortable during those hot Miami days and muggy nights.

Bringing the Outdoors In

This home was seemingly designed for indoor/outdoor living. Not only is there the summer kitchen and the various outdoor lounge areas, there's also a massive indoor/outdoor dining room. There's room for a large table set in front of a wall of Spanish-style arches that reveal an exterior courtyard.

Impressive Curb Appeal

The home's main entrance cuts an impressive image, especially at night. Its stone facade looks positively regal with its arched windows, and we love that the walkway is lined with towering palm trees, but not so many that they obscure the home. The entryway lighting really adds to the curb appeal as well.

Fanciful Foyer

One of the most impressive elements of Phil's former home is its foyer. The two-story rotunda-style interior entryway features a massive wide spiral staircase and a domed ceiling complete with a circular skylight. The rooms off of the foyer are accessed via traditional, European-style arched doorways.

Versatile Kitchen

Though the home's gourmet kitchen has been remodeled quite a few times since the house was built in 1929, it still has the same bones. There's a large center island surrounded by plenty of counters. It has top-notch appliances, of course, and lots of storage space. The area has plenty of lighting that surely makes chopping and dicing a bit easier.

In-Home Gym

Although it's unclear whether this is one of the home's six bedrooms that has been converted into a gym, or whether it's a purpose-built workout room, there's plenty of room for all the gym equipment its next owner could want. The room is large enough to accommodate multiple cardio machines, free weights, and any additional equipment.

Ultra Comfy

Despite the luxe nature of many of the home's finishes, the living room still manages to feel cozy and homey even. It backs the dining and room benefits from large windows on either side of the space, and while the floors don't quite seem right, the oversized furniture totally makes up for it.

Stunning Master

We adore this home's sizable master bedroom. The room has an entire wall of glass doors that open to its own balcony overlooking the water and offers views of the Miami skyline as well. It also features reclaimed wood floors and a custom walk-in closet, making it an ideal retreat after a long day.

Sporty Bedrooms

Sports fans will appreciate the previous owner's decor in all of the guest bedrooms, which featured a sports motif. But the rooms themselves are all well-appointed as well. This spacious bedroom has more of those pretty reclaimed wood floors, super tall ceilings, and plenty of windows from which to enjoy the bay view.

Morning View

Another of the six bedrooms features a similar look with matching sporty decor (pretty sure those are soccer jerseys), beautiful wood floors, and lots and lots of multi-paned windows. This one also has glass doors that open out to a balcony with views across the water. We love how much light this space gets.

That's More Like It

This bedroom may not benefit from as many windows as the others, but it does give us a better idea of how the other rooms might look without the sports memorabilia. The white walls and tall ceilings really complement the dark wood floors, and we are totally swooning over the framed ceiling.
