It's almost Valentine's Day, and we want to celebrate by looking back at some of Prince William and Kate Middleton's most romantic moments. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are known for being rather private about their love, especially in public. Unlike Will's brother Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, Will and Kate don't really engage in much PDA. At best, they give a quick hug or a reassuring hand on the back. But even if they don't always show their love with kisses, it's clear that they're still totally smitten with each other.
The duke and duchess have been married for almost a decade, and their marriage has grown with them. It's very mature, and a lot of times they show their love through small acts of service, rather than through traditionally romantic ways. But they do have their extra sweet moments every once in a while, and we've rounded up all the best ones.
Graduating Together
Will and Kate met in college and ended up graduating together. This picture was snapped after the ceremony in 2005. They look so happy and in love, and they're only just beginning what will be such a beautiful life. They may have no idea what's in store for them, but we do, and it's going to be amazing.
Early PDA
It's extremely rare for Kate and Will to kiss in public these days, but early on in their relationship they would often greet one another with a sweet peck. This moment of PDA came during one of Will's polo matches in 2006. It's so fun to see how they've grown as a couple since these early days. They have a much more mature, long-lasting love now compared to earlier in their relationship.
Their Engagement Portrait
The official palace portrait of the soon-to-be married couple radiates happiness. Their marriage was a long time coming, since they dated for about eight years before finally tying the knot. They were probably both so happy here to actually be taking that next step together all those years later.
The Balcony Kiss
Finally, an approved time for PDA! The balcony kiss at the end of a royal wedding is now a tradition — thanks to Princess Diana, actually. Charles forgot to kiss her during the ceremony itself, so they rectified that on the balcony. Fortunately Will and Kate's marriage is already doing much better than Charles and Diana's.

Although they do tend to play it cool when they're in public together, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge couldn't resist a celebratory hug while watching Britain do well in the 2012 Olympics. They just got caught up in the moment! And we're glad, because now we have this sweet photo of them.

As romantic as a photo of Will and Kate kissing might be, we also really love the tender moments they share when they're helping each other. On the surface, it might not seem all that romantic that Will is helping fix Kate's hoodie, but these small acts of service are one of the best ways to show love in a marriage.

A hug is about the closest this duo gets to showing how much they love each other in public. This is a particularly sweet embrace, because it came after Kate participated in a rowing event, and it was like William was congratulating her for her efforts. He's really the best prize anyone could win in a rowing match.
Helping Hand
When Kate was pregnant with Princess Charlotte, William was extra attentive to his wife. He made sure she could navigate the stairs at this event by holding onto her hand for extra support. It's true love, but with a side of practicality and helpfulness. This is what a lasting romance looks like.

When it came time to bring baby Charlotte home from the hospital, William was once again there with a sturdy hand for Kate to hold. We love how the two of them seem like they're in their own little world here. All the cameras are snapping away at them, but Will and Kate are just focused on getting their sweet daughter home.

One sign of a good marriage is the ability to have fun with each other — and the duke and duchess have nailed that. Here they're having a snowball fight, and while that sounds aggressive on the surface, it really just turned into an excuse for Will and Kate to play in the snow. The couple that can laugh together can stay together.

Talk about an act of service! Kate Middleton — in full mom mode — wiped a smudge off William's face while they were watching a tennis match in 2017. It's these small moments from the couple that we love the most. It's when it's the most clear how much they truly care for each other.

Always the doting husband, William made sure to keep an umbrella over Kate's head during a rain shower. He helped protect her beautiful hair and chic outfit from the drips. It seems like William just wants his wife to always be happy and comfortable, and if he can help in any way with that — he will.

In 2016, the couple took a Jeep ride through the forests of India, and while there was plenty outside for them to look at, they couldn't stop staring at one another. Everyone should strive to find a partner who looks at them the way the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge look at each other. That eye contact just screams true love.
Giving Kate a Flower
Many women love to receive flowers out of the blue — no matter how long they've been dating or married to a person. William followed through on that particular notion and handed Kate a flower while the two of them were visiting an Australian zoo. Look at how delighted the duchess is. It's really the little acts of kindness that make all the difference in a relationship.
Private Moment
While on a tour of Canada, Kate and Will took a moment for themselves. Kate leaned over to whisper something to her husband while also putting a hand gently on his leg. Considering that they knew they were being photographed, this is an unusual level of PDA from them, but it's so sweet at the same time.
Happy Stroll
During a trip to Ireland in 2020, Kate and Will went on a little walk together. They seemed to totally relish being in the bright outdoors, and it brought out their lovey side. They're both beaming as Kate happily stuck her arm through Will's. This is one of the cutest moments between the couple.
Snuggled Up
While on that same walk in Ireland, another photographer captured this equally sweet moment between the couple. They stopped at the top of the hill and took in the beautiful scenery around them while wrapping their arms around one another. We're not sure what it is about Ireland, but it totally brings out Will and Kate's loving natures.
Feeling Playful
This is yet another picture from their Ireland tour. This time Kate got a little playful with her husband during a visit to the local soccer stadium. She playfully shoved Will and he just smiled. Here's hoping they add an Irish tour to their schedules once a year, because it seems to be doing wonders for their relationship.
Radiant Smiles
Sporting events tend to bring out the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's silly sides. At this yacht race in New Zealand, Kate embraced Will with a big smile even though she'd just beaten him in the race. Hey, if he had to lose, at least he has the ultimate prize — Kate Middleton and her radiant smile.
Reassuring Touch
Although they don't really kiss in public or even hold hands all that often, Kate and Will do have one bit of PDA that we can see pretty frequently from them. It's the hand on the back, and they both do it. It seems to be their way of reminding each other, even while they're busy working, that they're right there for one another. So sweet.
