Get To Know the Queen’s 12 Great-Grandchildren

At 95, Queen Elizabeth has lived quite a life already, and she's showing no real signs of slowing down. She's been reigning monarch of the UK for 69 years, she's had four children of her own, eight grandchildren, and a whopping 12 great-grandchildren. And even though she's obviously busy with her work, she also seems to be a pretty hands-on great-grandma to her giant royal family. She often spends time with the little ones when at her country home in Balmoral, and like any grandmother, she loves a good photo opportunity to gather all the great-grandchildren together.

As the royal family has continued to expand, the Queen has also added several more great-grandkids just in the last few months. Keep reading to get to know her 12 great-grandchildren, including all the latest additions. It might be high time for a new royal portrait.

As the oldest of the great-grandchildren, 10-year-old Savannah can sometimes get annoyed with her younger cousins. Princess Anne's granddaughter infamously covered Prince George's mouth during a Trooping the Colour balcony appearance, and she also pushed him down a hill at a polo match. No one was hurt, fortunately. Just kids being kids.

Savannah's younger sister, Isla, is 9, and she hasn't made quite the splash in the media as Savannah. Isla often attends the same events as her older sis, though, and can be spotted in photos from royal polo outings, Christmas Mass, Trooping the Colour, and more. You may remember her as one of the bridesmaids at Princess Eugenie's wedding.

Prince George

As he's third in line to the throne, you probably already know quite a bit about Prince George. The 8-year-old is Prince William and Kate Middleton's oldest child, and he's already participated in several important photo shoots with the Queen as one of the heirs to her throne. He also calls the Queen "Gan-Gan," which is too cute.

Princess Charlotte

George's 6-year-old sister may be younger than him, but she's already demonstrated herself to be quite a little leader with a natural affinity for the cameras and the public. She's always great about pulling a funny face or waving to her adoring fans. We get strong Kate and Princess Diana vibes from her.

Prince Louis

Kate and William's youngest child is 3-year-old Prince Louis. As the baby of the family, he's probably used to getting some special treatment, and he likely never has to worry about taking over as king one day. The pressure is pretty off for him, which will make his childhood a lot less stressful than his older brother's.

Princess Anne's daughter, Zara Tindall, has three kids of her own with husband Mike Tindall. The oldest is Mia, who is 7. She's pictured here walking her grandmother's dog. Mia has been described by her father as "generally pretty bold," which is fairly common for oldest children. She's likely used to running the show.

Zara and Mike's middle child is 3-year-old Lena, who is actually named after the Queen. Her middle name is Elizabeth. Lena recently began attending a new nursery school, and her dad said she had to make a bit of an adjustment when she started going. "She was very, very clingy, but now she's fully into it," Mike explained.

Lucas Tindall

Lucas Tindall is the youngest of Zara and Mike's children. He's just a few months old, having been born in March 2021. He also had quite a dramatic entry into the world when his mother gave birth to him at home in her bathroom. She'd intended on going to the hospital, but Lucas came too quickly and there wasn't time. But mom and baby both ended up being fine.

Archie Mountbatten-Windsor

Archie Harrison is technically seventh in line to the British throne, but he's also growing up without a royal title and in the US, so his young life is already pretty different than many of his cousins' lives. The now-2-year-old is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's first child, and he's such an adorable kid with his dad's red hair.

Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor

Archie's little sister joined the world in June 2021, and Meghan and Harry gave her a name that honored two important women in Harry's life. Her first name, Lilibet, is also the Queen's nickname. And her middle name is Diana after Harry's late mother. She shares that middle name with her older cousin Charlotte.

August Brooksbank

Princess Eugenie gave birth to her first child in February 2021, but she and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, named him August. The name stems from August's great-great-great-great-great-grandfather Prince Albert Augustus. Eugenie has been pretty open about sharing photos of her little one on her personal Instagram, and he's just the cutest baby.

Sienna Mapelli Mozzi

Eugenie's sister, Beatrice, also gave birth to her first child in 2021, so the two princesses get to share being new moms together. Beatrice's daughter with her husband, Edoardo, is Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, with her middle name being a tribute to her great-grandmother the Queen. So far, Beatrice hasn't shared any pictures of Sienna, but maybe that will change as she gets older.
