She explained that her decision to remain private about her miscarriages was made out of self-preservation.

In the interview, she explained that she has "a uterus shaped like a heart" and as a result, it "just won’t keep anything in."

When asked about why she hadn’t spoken about her experiences sooner, privacy was her main reason. "I don’t want people saying: 'Are you okay? Are you all right?' Like a wounded animal," she said.

"I just rather go in a cave by myself. Lick my wounds," she added.

She previously had plans to adopt a child.

Tiffany also revealed that she had taken parenting classes last year in preparation for possibly adopting a child, but she is still on the fence on whether motherhood really is for her. Because of her busy schedule, she worries if motherhood would be a “selfish” decision.

Back in 2021, Tiffany had discussed her intention to adopt. Having been a foster child herself, she initially wanted to foster, but because of her success, "my lawyer suggested that it’s probably best to just adopt," she revealed to Entertainment Tonight.

"I want to get somebody that’s 5 [years old] and up," she claimed. "All I want to do is pour knowledge in … get them ready for the big, bad world."

'Why would I put someone through that?'

In 2020, Tiffany talked about some of her parenting fears on Carmelo Anthony’s What's in Your Glass YouTube series.

"I’m older now and people are always like: 'When you gonna have some babies?'" she said. "And there is a part of me that would like to do that and I always make up these excuses like: 'Oh, I need a million dollars in the bank before I do that, I need this, I need that.'"

But there was a deeper truth there. "It's like, I would hate to give birth to someone that looks like me knowing that they're gonna be hunted or killed. Like, why would I put someone through that?"

In The Washington Post interview, Tiffany also got candid about her relationship with Common. She and the actor/musician dated for a year, from 2020 to 2021.

She said the relationship "felt safest out of all the relationships [she’s] ever had," also calling it "the healthiest [and] the funnest" relationship she had been in.

"But also, I guess I’ve been alone for so long. And so used to being abandoned, I expect it. Which is sad, right?" she added.

She says things did not end the way he claimed.

When discussing the end of the relationship, she disputed Common’s claims that the breakup was mutual.

"It was more him saying, 'I think this relationship has run its course,'" she claimed. "And I was like, 'OK. Like, you gonna be a 50-year-old single man. OK?'"

Despite the way the relationship ended, Tiffany still believes herself to be a "positive person" hoping to have all the experiences that life has to offer.

"I would love to have a partner to experience it with," she said.
