Everyone loves Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, right? I mean, how can you not? He’s dashing, his nose glows, and he’s got a compelling story. He tolerated bullying, got a promotion, and saved Christmas! So for this week's holiday Craftwrecks, let us honor Rudolph and clothespin ornaments. Ho-ho-ho!
After much research, I’ve determined that the main thing you need to make your own Rudolph decorations, besides clothespins, is googly eyes. Oh, and a red puff ball for the nose, of course. He’s nothing without the nose.
Also, you don't have to paint him brown. If you leave the clothespins unpainted, he looks a little more formal, like he's wearing a tux to an '80s disco. Watch out John Travolta!

1. His formal look: he looks extra handsome here! I think it’s the eyebrows. And the bow tie.
2. Handmade beauty never goes out of style. This Rudolph is very down to earth, with just a touch of whimsy.
3. Red tinsel pipe cleaners always add sparkle and elegance, yet Rudolph is not overdressed for this tree, as you can see.
4. I was surprised by the saddle, but I think Rudolph used to give pony rides to make extra money, before he got his promotion. And maybe Santa rides him down to the store to get milk and whatnot, as needed.
