Office potlucks are pretty much crapshoots when it comes to food quality. They hold the potential to really ruin some of your most beloved foods, which is exactly what happened to @coolstoryjanis — and honestly, the entire world — when her coworker brought a dish of macaroni and cheese, aka the best, most comforting side dish known to man.
Even calling it mac 'n' cheese is a stretch. Is that cold hard cheese thrown on top of noodles? Oh, my heavy heart.
"Look at the macaroni & cheese my coworker brought to our potluck today," she captioned the tweet with. "Bruh."
We second that "bruh" notion. Someone's giving mac 'n' cheese a bad name.

People started coming forward with their own terrible potluck experiences.
It's fine to admit that not every person in the office is going to be a good cook. (And bringing in any homemade attempt is certainly better than the folks who dig in without contributing a dish.)
After seeing the picture, others vowed that they'd never let their own children cook such atrocities.
Bless you and your family.
Others called it what it is, which is *not* actual mac 'n' cheese.
If it ain't melted, it ain't mac 'n' cheese.
Others found it the perfect opportunity to crack some very real jokes.
Who knew mac 'n' cheese could be so relatable?

There is one upside to this dish, though.
Now every mom who whips up some good ole boxed mac 'n' cheese for the kids has permission to feel like a five star chef.
Let's hope that @coolstoryjanis and everyone else got to have some actually gooey mac 'n' cheese to recover from that abomination of a dish.
No one deserves cold hard cheese on plain noodles. No one.
