If your kid is a collector of stuffed animals then your family has probably taken a trip or two to Build-A-Bear Workshop at some point. As much as the retailer is loved and appreciated for its unique spin on letting kids (and adults) customize their own furry friend, it can get a little expensive by the time the unicorn has a cheerleading outfit, pajamas, and a purse. So parents, get ready to grab your wallets and stand in line because Build-A-Bear is having their first "Pay Your Age" sale — and it's probably the coolest way to get a good deal that we've ever heard of.
On Thursday, July 12, customers will actually be able to pay whatever their age is.
That means that if you have 6-year-old, her bear will be $6. If you have a 3-year-old, yup, his dinosaur will only be $3. Even a newborn is able to get their first Build-A-Bear with the minimum price being $1 for any kid under one.
And if you decide you want your own stuffed companion, but your age is a little more than the original cost, then no worries you can still get a good deal!
According to their website, no one will be "a day over 29 years old — meaning no matter their age, guests will pay no more than $29.”
Any animal that the store has in stock on July 12 is fair game. So yes, My Little Pony and Pokémon fans may just be in luck!
Make sure you get there early because we're guessing things will be selling out QUICK.
To participate, parents or guardians have to enroll in the Build-A-Bear Bonus Club rewards program (don't worry, it's free) and provide a valid name and email. Also note that the person paying his or her age must be present at the time of purchase, so if you want that $8 price then you have to have an 8-year-old with you.
Be sure to look up where your closest Build-A-Bear Workshop is located because this deal is in-stores only. But, building it is the best part about buying one of these things anyway!
