‘Creepy’ MIL Steals Nude Photos of Her Daughter’s Husband & Sees Nothing Wrong With It

Your relationship with your in-laws can be tricky and sometimes it's downright strange. But for one husband, the situation with his mother-in-law has gotten uniquely odd — and we aren't just talking about getting bad gifts for Christmas. Apparently, his MIL has a little crush on him *awkward* but instead of politely keeping her distance, the MIL went into her daughter's phone and sent herself some of her son-in-law's private nudes that were meant only for his wife. Now, the man feels completely violated — and doesn't know what to do next.

According to the man, he's always known that his MIL "has the hots" for him, but he's been good about setting boundaries.

Yeah, it's a little weird to know that your parent-in-law has a crush on you, but you'd hope that they'd have enough self-respect to keep it to themselves. Apparently for this guy, his MIL not only couldn't keep her infatuation to herself but she did something totally creepy.

In a post on Reddit, the man explained that he's always tried to put off his MIL's advances and has even had to confront her about them. "It's creepy. I've spoken to her about being uncomfortable and so has my wife. It seemed to have died down and we put it down to an unfortunate crush," he wrote. "She's been creepy and flirty but we chalked that up to her personality since she's flirty with everyone."

But during a recent visit, his MIL secretly took his wife's phone while it was still unlocked, found dirty photos the couple had texted each other, and then sent herself her son-in-law's nudes. Yikes!

When his wife came back from the bathroom, she noticed her phone had been moved and quickly caught on to what had happened. "When she checked it, she saw that files were being bluetoothed. When she saw which files were being transferred she blew her top at MIL while canceling what she could," he wrote. "MIL refused to delete the files that had already sent."

Instead of apologizing for the theft, the guy's MIL is still refusing to get rid of the photos.

The husband is understandably furious because he realizes that there isn't much he can do — but still feels completely violated. "It's f*cking awful. My wife and I have a few weird fetishes and so some of the photos I took that are for her eyes only are really humiliating if seen by people who aren't my wife," he wrote.

To make matters worse, the MIL is playing dumb and acting like she doesn't see the problem. "It's just a picture. I'm so mad," he wrote. "Now she's telling people we're alienating her. And because the issue is so embarrassing, I don't want to tell people the real reason."

To make matters worse, the photos are sort of risqué, and as the man later wrote in an update, "I work as a high school teacher. She leaks them and I'm f*cked."

What a mess.

People on the Internet didn't mince words: This MIL is despicable.

One person wrote that the MIL has crossed a line and should be "outed to her family."

As a teacher, the man said that he's mostly worried that she'll leak the photos and his students will see them. He explained later that his youngest sister-in-law is actually his student, which means that his MIL knows all of the parents in his class. And unfortunately for the man, he may not even want to seek revenge or get her angry because his MIL "gets vindictive when angry."

"It's easy to say not [to] be embarrassed. I work with teenagers. You think I'll ever be respected in a classroom again if my students see them?" he wrote.

Many people told the man that he should consult a lawyer and look into Revenge Porn laws, but unfortunately he's from South Africa. "Revenge Porn laws aren't a thing here," he wrote later in the thread.

And a third person was stunned -- what did she think could possibly come of this?

Unfortunately, things probably won't get better until they get worse for this poster. Though he did write an update and said that he's "texted my mate that I'm in a really shitty situation and he says he'll [come] over asap," he wrote. "He's a lawyer and we're tight enough I trust him with this."
