We tried Amazon’s cheapest bralettes that people rave about

Confession: I hate wearing bras.

No matter what size or brand I try, I'm always a little uncomfortable. I feel like Goldilocks hopping from bed to bed trying to find one that's just right.

Could Amazon be holding the key to my boobs' public happiness? As bralettes become more popular, the online juggernaut is expanding its offerings.

But for all of its convenience, plus-size and straight size women alike have trust issues about sizing and quality when it comes to garments on Amazon.

To separate the good bralettes from the hell nos, I called in my work wife, Brittany.

First up, Brittany tried on this embroidered bage bralette by Wink Gal for $14.

Embroidered floral cage bralette by Wink Gal ($14, Amazon)

Brittany is a bralette aficionado. Her active lifestyle has her on a constant search for easy to wear bras.

"I only wear sports bras and I love feeling sexy, so bralettes are my perfect match. Not to mention, I'm an A cup, so my boobs don't need a lot of support; they're strong, independent women," said Brittany.

As an A cup, she didn't need much support for this bralette to earn points.

The design had her so smitten, she wanted to wear it as a top.

"I'm obsessed with all the straps on this one! I wouldn't only wear this around the house and in the bedroom. I can see myself layering a leather jacket with something high-waisted, because it's too pretty to cover up."

The embroidery was mostly sewed on tight, except for this one spot.

This was not a deal-breaker for Brittany.

The second bralette had Brittany feeling all the boho vibes.

Hi-neck bralette with cutouts by Mae Women's ($16, Amazon)

"It's a little doily-esque, but l I'd still rock it any day of the week," said Brittany.

Aside from the design, she found this one to be really comfortable and easy to wear.

This next bralette had over 200 reviews with the lion's share being 4 and 5-star ratings.

Hi-neck Lace bralette by Mae Women's ($16, Amazon)

"This felt more like a crop top than a bralette, and a large one at that," said Brittany.

"My girls weren't big enough to fill the lace, but I still loved the silhouette."

Her favorite part was the sexy cut-out on the back.

This caged bralette is strappier, but still has a halter style for $16.

Strappy caged bralette by Ideas ($16, Amazon)

It took Brittany 10 minutes to figure out what hole her head and arms had to slide through.

"I liked the design of this one, but it was difficult to put on! It's super comfortable and didn't cut into me like a regular bra usually does," said Brittany.

The back was anti-climatic; all the fun is in the front.

I didn't have as many options as Brittany, but I was glad to find a few sexy ones like this red bralette for $14.

Gallon lace lattice detail bralette by Seven Til' Midnight ($14, Amazon)

This size 3/4X gave my boobs zero support.

I wanted it to give my girls a mother's hug, but nah.

The strappy design was cute, but the thin band cut into my back fat.

As pretty as this was, I wouldn't re-buy it.

Finding plus-size options under $20 was like looking for a needle in a haystack. This Ted Noah bralette gave me hope.

I really thought this 4X bralette would fit well, but the pictures don't lie.

The band was very restrictive —  it felt like my skin was being pushed in. If I wore this for more than a few minutes, I'd definitely be bruised.

My breasts were about to jump ship at any minute.

The moment I tried to move or sit, the band automatically rolled up.

The last bralette I tried on yelled comfort.

This is the most comfortable bralette I've ever tried!

Did I need more support? Yeah.

My girls are trying their best here.

The wide back was so comfortable I could see myself wearing this as a lingerie-style top with jeans and a jacket.

This one was the winner for me.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Yes, you can find a good bralette on Amazon, but for plus-size women, there's a lot of trial and error and, at the end of the day, you may still have to compromise.

For a similar price or a smidge more, curvier shoppers can find better options from Torrid — but you won't get that convenient AF free Prime shipping.
