A Man Didn’t Get To See His Baby for 15 Months After His Ex Used Fake DNA Test Results To Keep Him Away

A dad was unable to meet his child for 15 months because his ex claimed that the child was not actually his, and used a fake DNA test to “prove” it. When Georgina Saville, 25, welcomed her daughter in January 2022, she said that her new boyfriend, Danny Mellows, was the baby’s father. She included his name on the baby’s birth certificate, and showed the results of a DNA test that found Danny was the father of the baby.

However, another DNA test later found that Georgina’s ex-boyfriend, Kyle Fitton, was actually the baby’s dad, according to The Telegraph.

The mom did not let her ex see his kids.

Per The Telegraph, Georgina and Kyle had a rocky relationship. Their on-again, off-again relationship lasted for four years, and during that time, the British couple welcomed two children, one in March 2019 and another in January 2022. Shortly before finding out she was pregnant with their second child, they broke up for good, and Georgina allegedly made it difficult for Kyle to stay in contact with his oldest daughter.

“It was constant and it was her way or the highway. I unfortunately followed her rules but I followed them for [their oldest daughter] at that time — to be a dad and to make sure she was happy,” the dad told the Mirror.

When she had her second daughter, she listed her new boyfriend as the baby's father.

When their second daughter was born, Georgina reportedly did not let Kyle see either child. On the youngest daughter’s birth certificate, she listed her new boyfriend as the baby’s father. Kyle tried to fight this, so Georgina shared DNA test results that showed that her new boyfriend Danny was the baby’s father, The Telegraph reported. It was later determined that the DNA test results were fake, and a later test showed that Kyle is the baby’s biological dad.

After appearing in England’s Southampton Crown Court, Georgina was found guilty of “perverting the course of public justice and willfully making a false declaration about a birth,” per The Telegraph. The mom reportedly admitted that she wanted to keep her ex away, so she used a “made-up” DNA test results to make him think that he was not the baby’s father. However, in spite of admitting that the test result was fake, she has also said that she genuinely believed her new boyfriend Danny could be the baby’s biological dad.

Kyle was scared that he wouldn't be able to see his daughters.

Kyle’s mom is currently the legal guardian of Kyle and Georgina’s children, according to the Mirror. This means that he can now see his daughters regularly, but the fear of losing his daughters is still impacting him emotionally. “It’s still in the back of my mind, I can’t get rid of it,” he told the publication.

“I thought I was going to have my girls taken from me and nothing could be done,” he added. “I thought it was going to be the end of the world — they are my world. It did really scare me the fact that [Georgina] could do that.”

He's happy that he gets to see his daughters.

Now, the dad is enjoying spending time with his daughters, he told the Mirror. “It’s the best part of my day, knowing I finish work I get to go home and see my daughters,” he told the publication. “Walking into [my mom’s house] and they both shout, ‘Daddy.‘ It’s just a sense of relief they are there, they are happy and they are safe.”

Because of the fake DNA test result, Kyle went 15 months without seeing his youngest daughter, which had an impact on their relationship. “[My youngest daughter] had never met me, it took some time to bond that relationship,” Kyle told the Mirror. “But now it’s amazing. We were finally united before her second birthday.”
