Love him or hate him, there's little denying that James Charles is one of the most talented and artistic forces of beauty YouTube. That's why it's shocking, really, that he hasn't collaborated with more brands to create products that cater to his painterly makeup stylings.
It appears, however, that one brand has taken notice of this and might be doing something very big about it.
This story begins with a fantasy rainbow cut crease, which Charles recently uploaded to Instagram.
Side note: WOW.
Hi. Gorge. Teach me your ways, Charles.
Prime beauty detective Trendmood asked him what palette he used for the look, and his answer was awfully suspicious.
"I can't seem to remember..."
Trendmood also caught a glimpse of the palette in question from Charles' Instagram story, and that's where things get confusing.
Based on that packaging alone, it's plain to see that's a Morphe palette — nothing Charles would have originally created.
But it looks like the one from Charles' story is without a doubt the 35B.
But the 35B has been long discontinued ...
It's more than a little weird Charles wouldn't just say, "oh yeah, that's an old 35B of mine."
That leaves two solid possibilities as to what this magical rainbow palette Charles is "teasing" might be.
The first — the one his fans are desperately hoping is true — being that Charles and Morphe are collaborating on a palette together... one that just looks an awful lot like the 35B.
The second being that the 35B is making a comeback soon, and Charles knows something we don't.
One thing's for sure: This is note a case of Charles simply "forgetting" what palette he used.
Any beauty lover, let alone a famous beauty YouTuber, would never forget what products they've used just in case someone asks.
Nah, something's definitely up here.
I'm just not sure what yet. But time tells all.
