We all know by now that YouTube's once reigning pair of makeup besties, Jeffree Star and Manny Gutierrez, are not friends anymore — and haven't been for quite some time. Late last year, the duo ceased appearing together on social media and inevitably began shading each other publicly.
That's when we knew it was over, but things only escalated this summer when Gutierrez's reputation was degraded thanks to some receipts the internet dug up on him, Laura Lee, Nikita Dragun, and Gabriel Zamora.
Now Gutierrez is on a public apology tour, and Star has some thoughts about that.
Gutierrez just uploaded "My Wakeup Call," the first in his series of documentary-style videos, which he hopes will inform his fans about why all of his YouTube friendships have crumbled so publicly.
Jeffree Star, naturally, was not having it.
"Can everyone stop tweeting me about Manny?" he tweeted. "I don't care what he's doing nor do I ever want him in my life again."

"It gets so old being asked every day about someone you genuinely don't give a fuck about. Manny never cared about me. He cared about growing his bank account."

"His first 2 'apology' videos flopped so they're trying the @shanedawson route. It's fucking pathetic and so calculated it makes me sick. You want the truth? Absorb it."

(Of course, he's referring to the documentary series fellow YouTuber Shane Dawson made about Star this summer, which resulted in a hefty follower boost for Star.)
He continued, "Can the real sociopath in the beauty community please stand up??"

"I get asked EVERY day about my ex-friends and it's getting so old. Had to give some clarity so we can move on."

"Get ready for the 'Jeffree Star is eViL' campaign to start from old friends," he finished. "They would all be at peace if they didn't use my name for clicks but hey... It's all they know."

Wow. OK, then.

Gutierrez hasn't responded to these tweets yet — in the meantime, he's tweeting about World Mental Health Day, which was yesterday.

"There are people out there who will listen to you and understand you and help you, find your tribe," he wrote.

"There is nothing wrong with asking for help and you’ll be surprised at how many people are willing to offer it."

At this point I'd like to say the Jeffree/Manny drama is finally over and we've all moved on from it.... But that's unlikely.
At least, it definitely won't be until this video series is over.
